This article shows another class of misogynistic bastards that constitute the IT crowd and the uphill battle for equality in that area by the ever-oppressed.
It is not completely unrelated, gamers and IT crowd has some overlap.

Now I find myself having to waste time talking about my gender rather than my technology...otherwise, there are lectures: ...
...With one exception, I've heard these lectures only from women, and women who can't code at that. Sometimes I want to shout "you're not a programmer, what are you doing here?!"
Trying to force conformity on someone who doesn't fit the mold by disguising it as a women's rights issue apparently? Not bad, it's non un-clever, I'll give it that much.

I remember in those early days, in my haven, if someone was rude or tried to bully me, the people around me would pounce with a resounding "How dare you be mean to someone we like!" Now, if a man behaves badly, we're bogged down with a much more complex thought process: "Did this happen because she's a woman?" "Am I white knighting if I step in?" "Am I a misogynist if I don't?" "What does this say about women in technology?" "Do I really want to be part of another gender politics mess?" It was so much simpler when we didn't analyze so much, and just trounced on mean people for being mean.
Someone is about to have a Frozen moment methinks. I'd like to believe you eventually reach a point where the crazy stops bugging you when they fail to get results. They're after change and it's incredibly unsatisfying when they don't get it. Yay for passive-aggressive stuff? Thankfully (or unfortunately) there's plenty of other fish in the sea for them, and someone's going to bite, then they can have fun ******** with their life for a while. Though I suppose she can't hide from it really, which obviously gets grating after a time. A guy can stand up, take flak for it, then disappear back into anonymity when it's all over. That was totally a train-of-thought paragraph...
Funny, me and the wife were just talking about our daughter's interest in what daddy is doing with all those python windows open.
Edit: add scre
wing to the list on naughty words...
