Thunderf00t goes off on Colbert's different treatment of Sarkeesian vs. Palin. Edit: He's spent a lot of time talking about Sarkeesian's videos, so I'm not surprised that he's focusing on her. And before anyone says "See, Pold's focusing on womyns again!", she was talking about Gamergate in the interview, so I consider it fair game. EditMoar:
Someone's claiming the interview was heavily edited before release. Don't know how much I believe it, but it's relevant enough to post.
I can get behind the sentiment at the end of this one. Most of the last paragraph or two, really, but especially the last line or so. Quote:
Too many in the press believe in this idea of "us vs. them"--us being "developers and press," them being "gamers"--which is exactly what leads to this idea of Video Game Journalism as one big bubble where the press serve themselves and their buddies instead of normal people who play video games. If we want better journalism in gaming--and who doesn't want better journalism in gaming?--that's gotta change. We need to listen. **** the Internet War. Let's all just do our jobs better.
Here's another good one. I like the cut of this guy's jib thus far.
EditEleventysix:
Someone's made an autoblocker list of GG supporters.
I find it hilarious that davidpakmanshow, a TYT affiliated news program that has been quite neutral, is on the list. And I'm not the only one surprised by that. What's strange is that I couldn't find TB on it. Surely if David Pakman is there, TB would make the cut, no? ~15,000 names.
Editedforyourenjoyment:
Even if you don't read the whole thing, You really ought to read the last post. AllyourEditsbelongtous:
Another anti-GG person, Arthur Chu, goes onto the David Pakman Show. Really hates AAA games.
Here's Allistair Pinsof's discussion of the interview. Additionally, TB has already addressed why there was little reaction to the Shadows of Mordor debacle, which I've already linked. Edit: Here's some things I didn't link earlier regarding the SoM debacle.

More on the Nick Denton "astroturfing" thing. I honestly have no idea whether I believe it or not. At this point, it wouldn't surprise me, but at the same time it's completely insane. On the other hand, it seems like insane has become the new normal. Edit: Moments after writing that last sentence, I ran across
this. Huh.
Edit:
Edit: Again, TB doesn't exist, apparently.
