The UCSB murders last weekend are generating lots of bloggery and twitterage about misogyny.
Elliot Rogers, the guy who went on the deadly rampage, was a known woman-hater, in fact, his 'day of retribution' was basically a plan to kill all the mean bratty spoiled women of Isla Vista.
In the aftermath feminists speak out and in reply pompous men speak back and mentally ill advocates feel slighted.
I'm trying to formulate a question here but haven't really nailed it.
I was thinking about it though as I was reading an article about this woman who posted a picture of her derriere on instagram. She had little undies on - it wasn't ****. She's a larger girl though. Lots of womens shapely buns splash across screens, but her buns were found to be 'offensive' by Instagram who then removed the picture (they later apologized to the woman and allowed the picture back). HERE is the offending picture.
It was the public comments of disapproval of this picture from other women that kind of shocked and awed me. Ok, I'm not really shocked and awed by internet article comments, but some lesser emotion registered - I think it was disappointment.
