And now you gotta steal Quebecs only thunder in politics. How can Quebecors compete with media time if Americans are separating too. Once again Quebec is forced to take a back seat to American politics, its going to be just like the synthetic syrup scandal.

Oh yeah well Quebec has been pissing among themselves like forever. No ones paying attention anymore. Besides, it's not like Quebec is the first and only region to ever suffer under civil strife.

And here's another thing Tim Horton coffee sucks hairy donkey ballz and poutine only tastes good because you're stoned.

I don't like poutine. I can only assume it's appeal is in it's munchability. I prefer my fries nice and crispy and dipped in catsup and my gravy on my mashed potatoes.

Traditional Acadian cuisine. French fried Chips and Ketchup with fish, and Mashed Potatoes with livestock. Yet another part of Canadian culture stolen by Americans to call their own.

Canadians didn't invent potatoes ok, they didn't invent squat. I'll give you hockey and poutine - oh and Tim Hortons since you're really proud of your one fast food place.

We all eat food that can be grown on our same chunk of rock. What's your point?

Btw, Acadians settled in the US as well as Canada.

Oh now our inventions don't even exist. More American propaganda to quell Canadian Culture. I bet you believe it was an American who invented the phone! And it wasn't called the US, it was Canada (the name given to the nation by the Acadian Settlers), and when Britain took it over it was Upper and Lower Canada. "Murica didn't even exist in the hearts or minds of men! How did they settle the US? Canada has always been labeled Canada. Your name was the 13 Colonies......LAAAAAMME. At the time it was the only British holding internationally recognized as "the colonies" hahaha.

You even stole the idea to be labeled as a country on world maps from early Canadians.

Culture thievery and propaganda. Its no secret as to why you dominate our airwaves, You are trying to lure us into your culture, using our own culture against us!

Toques are now cool to wear in the summer. Need I say more?

No idea how the OP vote shook out but the citizens of CO did vote to put a 25% sales tax on marijuana. 15% for school construction & education and the other 10% for marijuana policy enforcement. Thus begins the test of the whole "If we just legalized it and taxed it...." argument.

About time. Some of the "heavier" drugs I would want to only be available from a pharmacy with a psychiatrist's prescription. Though easier done in Australia where Psychiatrists are heavily subsidized by we the people.

Portland ME legalized recreational use and possession of pot yesterday. It will be interesting to see how a city manages pot recreationally within a state that allows it medicinally within a country where its still totally illegal.

Which is kind of really contradictory if you think about it. To be a Schedule 1 drug it can offer no medicinal value....evidently it does or it wouldn't be available as a prescription and the US Government wouldn't hold U.S. Patent 6630507.

Anyone who is arrested on pot charges could make a very strong case against the validity of the charges based on the drug still being listed as Schedule 1, even though it no longer fits in the category.

Linky

It passed in about 1/2 the counties, leaving people more or less uncertain about what to do next. I'm assuming that means it's dead in the water at this point, which is sure to make for some grumpy libertarians out and about this morning.

In other news our school levy passed with like 80% of the vote, and these people look like they'll have a $15 minimum wage.

Couldn't even make it dramatic. Rip off Quebecs claim to fame and muck it all up. At least when Quebec did it, they made it a nail biter.

Quote:
The referendum took place in Quebec on October 30, 1995, and the motion to decide whether Quebec should secede from Canada was defeated by a very narrow margin of 50.58% "No" to 49.42% "Yes".

Typical America always imitating but never duplicating.

You are right we should go bowling another fine Canadian tradition stolen by America. Heck and you couldn't even do that right! Having pins worth different points means I have to math and remember, 'Murica no like, add 5 more pins each one point, less math no remembrin.
