That's the LAST thing that I want. That's on the same level as charging for DLC on the debut of a game. I want new content, not just the same game in a different color. With that, I accept the fact that I may not like some games as others. Personally, FF8 and FF10 are my favorites. I would rather play 9 over 7. 7 is good, but is overly hyped. Overall, I like that latter games are different games.
I also like the "-2" series of games, that allows us to continue a story. I just haven't seen it played out well.
It was tongue-in-cheek. A stab at the people who demand new and then cry when ever a non-standard game is released.

Sometimes I don't get them. I mean, how much would it cost to develop a FF7 HD overhaul? I'm sure it wouldn't cost quite as much as developing the next FF game, and it would be all but guaranteed to sell ridiculously well. It's not something that I'm necessarily interested in, but it seems like it's such a no-brainer moneymaker.
There's plenty of articles and interviews floating around that indicate that no, remaking FF7 actually would cost astronomically more than making whatever the next modern FF is and that it would also yield nothing but financial ruin for the company.
Ya, I'd imagine that the storyline of a game is a minimal development cost. Even developing the idea of the battle and control system can't be that high a cost
when compared to the actually graphics design and programming onto a new platform.
I remember reading about Chrono Resurrection
