In the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 hostilities that caused and fueled The Great War, ceased - the end of the war to end all wars.
Nearly a century later we get a paid day off of work. [:peacesign:]
A three day stretch of no work to which I offer you an spot to share your weekend plans.
I don't really have any plans. My father-in-law, currently residing down in Orlando, has been in the hospital all week, in and out of surgery. He got pneumonia and some viral infection in his lungs. He passed out from not enough air. Stressed out his already bad heart (he's on his third pace-maker) and ended up in ICU. He's still not really stable. My husband is overwhelmed with guilt for not being there, but is ready to jump on a plane at a moments notice if he should be needed. If the guy should kick the bucket we'll both be driving down. That's really all our household has been about the last couple days and will likely keep us pretty close to home through the long weekend (not that we had anywhere awesome to go anyways ).
I'm going to fill my freezer up with sweet breads I think. I got cranberries and lots of old frozen bananas to use up.
I'm most definitely going to find myself a good bottle of wine for tonight. Any suggestions?
