Well then, I suppose if being a businessman is no help to being a successful president, then it certainly can't hurt. After all, we've tried the whole political novice, ie community organizer bit now for four years and look how that turned out. Considering, as lolgaxe said, making ramen doen't make you a 5 star chef, having a president who has an uncanny ability to burn water and has trouble boiling an egg, to have an individual who can at the very least make a metaphorical economic sammich will be a refreshing change of pace.
But as that old saw says, as Ohio goes, so goes the rest of the country. And seeing that Romney seems to be pulling even or possibly ahead, that bodes well for the Republican party.
I am going to go on the record and say that Romney wins in a landslide come next Tuesday. How much of a landslide? Let's say... 5 points in the popular vote and 30 electoral votes. Mark it down. If I am wrong, but Romney still wins, I'll freely admit to it with no consequences. If I am dead wrong and Obama wins, I'll make a suitable sig for myself and use it for a year. I will gladly take submissions and even submit to the will of the board with preference given to the old timers.
Fair enough?
