I'm going to exercise classes 5 nights a week and still cooking healthy food for each meal (which is taking a level of organisation I'm really not used to). I'm trying to get raid ready in WoW at the moment, so I'm quite impressed that I'm still shopping and cooking properly rather than looking for quick meals.

I've found crock pot meals are great for raid nights. Toss it in the pot before you go to work, set it on low, and come home to food ready to go. It's a good way to cook a lean cut of almost any meat, and the veggies are so thoroughly cooked as well they are just melt in your mouth awesome.

Well, I proved that I could lose almost 10 lbs in a week. Bottomed out around 198 on my home scale two weeks ago... and since then I totally regressed. My schedule is crazy mixed up for the next week, what with getting a new job and quitting my current one. I'm back at 204 now, so that's no good. Don't see me correcting that this week; I'm off to MA tomorrow through Monday, as a friend is getting married. Expecting a lot of eating... doh! Also some beach time, though (assuming it's still warm enough; we're still hitting the 90s here in FL, but MA can get down into the 60s in September).

Been a month and a half since my last check-in, and as said, life has been crazy. However, I'm finally moved into my new apartment, settled in my new job, and getting into a routine. The routine so far is:

Every day: Breakfast of 2 large eggs (140 calories), 2 pieces of toast (80 calories), a piece of cheese (50 calories), some deli meat (usually about 30-40 calories), and some sriracha for a kick (10 calories). So that's around 300 calories for breakfast. Lunch is some soup; 200-400 calories depending on the type. Dinner varies; Mondays and Fridays I tend to visit my friends, who make a really tasty (and relatively healthy) South Beach dinner; so usually 300-400 calories. If I'm at home, I'll make myself some sandwiches (400 calories for 2) and maybe popcorn (100 calories).

Weekends go a little bit differently, but unless I'm drinking or going out, I tend to keep my calories in line. Sadly, I tend to go out at least once a weekend, so that's 6 good days and 1 bad Smiley: lol

I've also restarted part of the P90X; trying to do "Ab Ripper X" three times a week. The first week KILLED me; the second was a lot easier and I managed all three days. This week, well, I'm sick. So hopefully I'll start on Wednesday Smiley: tongue I also am trying to lift weights a couple nights a week; having pretty good success with that. I've had a lot of success with walking several miles every weekday; it's just under 2 miles into work, and I walk for half an hour during my lunch break. So 5-6 miles each day. That makes me feel awesome, frankly.

So, despite the last month and a half being topsy-turvy, on Saturday I weighed in at 197 on a Publix industrial-grade scale. And that was with all my clothing and other items on. So I think I'm doing all right... not great, but all right. Hoping to settle down for the next month until Turkey Day; my goal is to be sub-190 by then.

We're flying to Hawaii for the wedding on Thanksgiving, so I'll be able to avoid any major feasting at least. Just airline peanuts.

Ab Ripper is actually pretty easy... comparatively speaking. It's only like 20 minutes, 3 days a week. Sure, you sweat like crazy, and currently I'm only able to do like 2/3 of the reps (and goodness knows I can't contort myself in the crazy flexible positions they're doing in the videos), but it's a lot less intense than 90-120 minutes per day, every day.

I was getting a bit disheartened at not really noticing much change in how I look, but I think I need to bear in mind that I didn't notice the weight going on when it happened either. Weekend before last was a bit of a wreck, too much drinking on Friday and too much eating on Sunday and Monday. It was really nice to get back to eating healthily and I may be speaking too soon, but I think I've managed to change my 'normal' diet. I know how good I feel when I eat properly and I can't see myself going back to how I used to eat on a regular basis.

Yesterday I found a physician's scale at a job site, so I have no idea how well calibrated it is. Weighed myself at 150.x, fully dressed, shoes, sweatshirt, etc.

Gimmie those coupons...a large pizza in a day is nothing for me.

Define large pizza. Most slices around here are the size of entire pizzas elsewhere.

My son is the newly appointed ***. manager of a Dominoes in Boston. I don't imagine he's gonna be dropping those extra 50 pounds he's carrying anytime soon.

If you seen how the managers ride their employee's at Dominoes then you would agree that *** manager is an appropriate title. Smiley: tongue

He could be Head Pimp for Domino's.

Does his uniform include a purple floppy brimmed, crushed velvet hat with an ostrich plume?

I thought it was the Shakespearean actor that wore the plumed velvet purple floppy hat.

I shouldn't talk about my kid like this, but his Dominos costume is really nerdy looking. I'm terribly proud of him. He's working really hard long hours to be able to live in Boston with his girl. The pizza place is less than two-blocks from their apartment. They're both learning to live without a car.

I just wish he'd call home more often!!!!

Back on the wagon. A month of excessive drinking, partying, being sick so no exercise, and not paying attention to anything I ate only netted me 3 lbs, so it could have been worse.

Today's lunch is leftover pork tenderloin and rice pilaf. Nom.

Did a lot of drinking while stuck indoors the past week. Haven't been into the city to train, but I'm starting to at least get back in gear at our apartment gym. I'm guessing I'm sitting just under 170 right now. Gotta wind up again.

Been fluctuating between low to mid 180's. Haven't done any sort of exercising though, which I should, nor have I really started eating better, again I should. I just cut out some of the crap that I was eating. I imagine if I got off my lazy *** I would easily knock a stone off.
