Naw, don't see it happening. Florida is worth more electoral votes than Ohio; not worth the risk.

Terrible time to be either a Democrat or a Republican, really. Democratic incumbent has been disappointing, republican candidate is terrifying. Romney(not sure if the primaries are still going or not, haven't been paying so much attention this time, but we all know how it's gonna go) can't beat Obama though, too far to the right to secure a lot of the center, and the undecided votes. At least the republicans will be better off than if Bachmann or Perry was the candidate though.

I'm predicting another election like 2004 with this. Republicans are putting their money on the wrong kind of candidate, just like the Democrats did with Kerry.

This is as good a place to post it as any.

I've been saying this for the last six months. Not only is Romney the wrong type of candidate (although they really didn't have much to work with), he's ridiculously rich, out of touch with your average American, says stupid ****, and has said absolutely nothing about what he's going to do differently than Pres. Obama.

I'm just waiting for someone to come out with a picture of Romney doing some rich dude's water sport like this.

Both candidates are centrist enough it doesn't really make a difference from my point of view. Both will be trying to compromise with a congress that will likely want none of that. I suspect who wins house and senate seats is probably going to have a bigger effect on the country going forward.

Wow, you're dense. I never said Pres. Obama could relate to the average person, I said Romney can't. There's a big difference between being able to relate and being unable to relate, and being in the middle. I'd say he's probably more in the middle. Romney has demonstrated time and time again that he has no idea what it's like to be poor or middle class, and no idea how to imagine what it's like. Obama has been both. He grew up poor with his mom when she tried to raise him by herself, and he grew up middle class when his grandparents started helping out. The only real issue Obama has is that he's educated, and some people feel threatened by that. I saw on the Daily Show last night that his last State of the Union was about an 8th grade level speech as far as vocabulary was concerned, so at least he's trying to dumb it down for people? I'd prefer he not do that, but if it helps people feel like he's not an overeducated snob, then I guess it's okay.

It makes him feel he doesn't know what the British definition of "pissed" is.
