Two hours and fifteen minutes to go until quittin' time.

Tonight will find me in attendance to a martini party of one, possibly finishing up Morrowind*, and eating delicious left-overs. Much of the same tomorrow. Sunday, I'll probably watch that football game that's on, but honestly I couldn't care less who wins so long as it's not that unscrupulous cheater legendary coach Bill Belichik.

Whatcha got goin' on this weekend?

* Playing so much Skyrim got me nostalgic for Morrowind, which I have concluded is a better game in nearly every way, but particularly because there's no fast-travel system. This might sound silly, but forcing you to walk everywhere makes the game world seem expansive and dangerous, and gives you the joy of exploring. Conversely, jumping all over the map in seconds makes Skyrim feel like an endless series of underground dungeons broken up only by the occasional dragon fight.

We're doin' the game in NYC with a few friends at a bar. Definitely looking forward to it, and I'm expecting a good game.

Sat. dinner with the fiance's parents for her dad's b-day. Should be the usual mildly awkward affair, but they like me a lot and hey, free food. If there's time afterwards, then UFC at whatever nearby bar is showing it. God, I hope that Nick Diaz gets whupped. Ugh...the Diaz brothers. Srsly haet those guys. Smiley: mad

Tonight, I can't remember. Movie, maybe? I've got a redboxed copy of 50/50 that we really should have watched like 3 days ago. It's just been sitting there wasting cash.

Other than that some writing. I'm now officially probably going to E3! Have to apply for a press pass, but I've been assured that it should be a sure thing. All the same, I put in for the vacation days from work, but I won't be booking any flight just yet. I'm supposed to do a couple reviews in between now and then to make sure of things. Think I'll be reviewing Syndicate, SSX, Shank 2, and perhaps the latest UFC game. We'll see though.

I'd like to put in some time with the Syndicate & Twisted Metal demos, on that note.

I've got a decision to make, which will have some implications. I really am not sure what I'm going to do yet. But thats my task for today. and yes, there is a reason I'm being so vague about it here.

I'll be working all weekend. Rooting for the Pat's, but I'm not very confident about their chances.

I know my title is a very big decision for you, but I don't want you to stress out too much about it.

You might have a lot of memories here, but if it's better for you to move on, you should. You can always post here as a plebe like the rest of us.

No, I have no idea what your decision is, but it sounds like you're thinking of resigning as an admin because of either time, money, or a new job offer. I'm going with my gut here.

Funny, because depending on the meaning of "jumping" this describes either game. XD

I've got a triple birthday party thing on Sunday. Will catch a bit of the game after that, then play my Sunday RPG. Saturday will consist of buying gifts/supplies for Sunday.

Oh. And I pulled out a bag of frozen turkey left over from Thanksgiving (cause I cooked one all for myself). Made some stuffing (like totally from scratch even!) and gravy and have been enjoying yummy turkey dinner. I'll do more of that! Smiley: nod

He finally saved up enough of that sweet State of Washington government employee money to buy Zam.com from Goldman Sachs.

I had a frozen turkey in the freezer (natch) that I pulled out on Wednesday so I can cook it this weekend. That gives us a week to pick at its remains and next weekend to boil it into soup stock.

No real plans for myself here. Aside from usual household stuff, I'll be doodling around with Skyrim or Deus Ex: HR, I imagine.

Accompanying my girlfriend to a Ballroom & Latin dance competition in which she is competing on Sunday.

Other than that I'll be finishing A Feast For Crows and playing a little Skyward Sword.

Perhaps joining a few friends for some drinks on Sunday after the dancing.

I never played Morrowind. Probably not on the 360, is it?

I'll just be doing homework, and watching the Superbowl. Maybe some Skyrim if I get lucky. I finished the thieves guild line, the companions, and the dark brotherhood. I'm hoping to finish the Stormcloak line, then maybe the imperial.

Still trying to get over the fact that another hospital was stupid enough to let us take home another brand new baby. This weekend will be getting re-acquainted with such mundane tasks as gaming with an infant sleeping in a chest-sling.

Oh yeah, there's still a football game left. I guess it's just an excuse to order some pizzas and wings, though we usually don't need any excuses for that.

Nah it's Xbox. Was released in like 2003 iirc. Pretty good actually, much better than Oblivion at any rate. Completely open world. More customisation, too. Plus shoulder pads! Or Pauldrons. Whatever.

Thanks to a thread over in =5 I've been reading The Dresden Files. The first couple of books were a bit rocky, but I've stuck with them and they actually get pretty decent by book four. I'm on book six now, so I'll probably be reading that a good bit this weekend. I also have L.A. Noire and Saint's Row the Third I picked during the Christmas sale on Steam to play. Not to mention, it's finally time to use that Starhawk Beta code I picked up when I bought Uncharted 3. I've also got a craving for Chinese food, so I'll probably go out to dinner on Saturday. Basically, I'm going to be doing as much as I can to pretend that the Superbowl doesn't exist.

My days will be spent reading up on what to expect before and after Jonwin's knee replacement surgery on the 16th. I am now his coach and while he is in the hospital expected to go to his PT sessions. I can even stay over night if I wish. It a question of do I want to take the bus to and from the hospital each day or try to get any sleep with all the interruptions and noises that make hospitals mis-able places to stay.

Evening I will be knitting another pair of socks.

May also try to get some driving practice in, since Jonwin won't be able to drive to appointments for sometime.

I'm still slogging away in a fairly difficult, highly modded game of Oblivion.

I'm not sure I ever did, either. That game was so addictive, partly because "getting to the end" was totally beside the point.
