My kids were just now digging around in our booze cabinet and pulled out an old bottle of whiskey that is in the shape of John Lennons head - with removable glasses.

Thats apperently worth around $400 without the whiskey in it. more if its sealed.

More blacksmith puzzles--this time travel size. Also some free weights so that my scrawny girl arms might become bulky girl arms.

For just Christmas, I got Plants vs Zombies for my DS, an anime series I've been wanting, some t-shirts, an Amazon gift card and a nifty set of Sports Champions accessories for the Playstation Move.

For my b-day, which I opened presents for on the 24th, I got another anime series I wanted and a couple of movies. Also, a massive German chocolate/vanilla bean ice cream cake my sister made for me. Got to take almost half of it home for consumption over the next week.

New pillows, bedsheets, and a rug from my parents. Also got a book of Ogden Nash poetry specifically from my mom, and some spiffy Thorlo Pad socks from my dad (why is it that socks are awesome gifts the older you get?). Assorted gift cards (Chili's, Subway, Publix) from my relatives. Cards from my friends, as well as a $30 Amazon gift code from one of them.

My mom and my little sister discovered thinkgeek.com, so I'm fairly sure about half of what I got came from there, including;

Bacon Lip Balm
A Truly Mini Fridge
One of those awesome plasma balls

Also a bunch of new shirts, socks, and undies; an amazing new chair for my computer desk, and a new wireless mouse.

And for my birthday, my single present this year is an awesome new monitor. I get 1 present on my birthday, because it's the day after xmas. Now that I'm older, anyway. It's basically "Here's one present, because it's your birthday, and some cash because we're all too burned out from getting christmas done to get you actual presents." I don't really mind, since I got like... $350 towards my new computer.

Also, on a totally different but still related note; I found this on thinkgeek, but I totally bought one a year and a half ago in an amusement store in chicago. I ******* love it, too. Drives the dog insane Smiley: laugh

Had a wonder Christmas dinner down in Florida. It is amazing how much of a difference 300 miles is in temperature. It is hilarious to watch a chihuahua walk right into a pool, oblivious to where the edge of it was. Smiley: laugh

1. A bar mixing set. Already had one but I can always use a second. Smiley: tongue

2. A handheld mixer. My old one burned up a while back and between being cheep and poor I haven't hand a chance to replace it.

3. Star Wars: The Old Republic. Bloody game gives me migraines so now it is three expensive Frisbees.

The only bummer I had this Christmas was I didn't get a chair for my desk so I am stuck using a wooden one until I can get around to saving the money for a padded one. -rubs butt-

a christmas dinner with the sweetie's family and a nice phonecall with my grannie back in my hometown.

We didn't exchange gifts, and it was a relief for all of us. I'm a convert to opting out of the gift exchange.

I may have missed out on a sweet stained glass paperweight like ugly got, but I didn't have to deal with any of the fuss and stress either.

More about the book I got (which is crushing Mario 3D land in keeping my attention) it is called "The Trillion Dollar conspiracy" by Jim Marrs (rise of the fourth reich which i have not read so can not comment on.) It is a captivating read about corruption through history and around the world. Primarily it is directed at the erosion of America into a nation of zombies.

It is really neat as it has kind of meshed many conspiracy theories into one. So far i've traveled through The Fed, BigPharm, AMA, The National Health Board, Dumbing down America. The author has managed to tie these together to form a view of the NWO and the globalization of Earth.

Personally I don't particularly prescribe to the message, but it has been a very interesting read so far. I think some here may enjoy it.

A vibrant silk scarf that is virtually massless, a lovely blue glass bead necklace, some Fair Trade chocolate, A haircut from an incredibly gifted hairdresser, and two wildly different small clutch purses I really wish I didn't get, as I have no space, and no use for them. Even though one is embroidered beautifully, dammit.

Just don't bring it over to the Chapman household. They are always so clumsy with stuff like that.

I haven't noticed any real change in the two versions...

If it's video lag, have you tried turning your shadows off? They're a huge drain on the gpu...
