Half day to make sure everything is secure, and then vacation time yay.

Working...I'm not sure what the schedule is like on Christmas... Shouldn't be that serious to have to work.

the man of the house is currently out purchasing christmas breakfast ingredients. We'll do some house cleaning and finish up wrapping this evening. Tomorrow my mom and her husband will drive down, throw their stuff down in a local hotel, then head over to spoil the kids rotten. we're having Eve dinner at The Pit where I will done on delectable fried green tomatoes and moonshine. After we'll give the Eve gifts out, watch NORAD to see whn we can hustle the kids off to bed.

Then we'll probably be woken up at 4AM by three over eager boys jumping on our beds.

I made biscotti last year for x-mas - a few different types. The Cranberry-almond was the favorite.

My daughter and her bf arrived home last night. With their help, we finally got the tree decorated.

The weekend will consist of lots of eating, bad singing, merriment and prezzies.

Today I need to wrap presents and make my traditional hand drawn gift tags.

Tomorrow I go over to Daughter's and get the Rib Roast into the oven, so it will be done about 6pm. Dinner will be semi Hanukkah dinner also, for my future son-in-law. Jonwin gets off work at 4pm and tells me that if dinner isn't on the table by then, he'll walk out and go to McDonald's. We'll be exchanging presents Christmas Eve and playing Dreidel for gelt. Other two grand kids should have received their presents, we ordered last week.

Sunday Jonwin has off and we will go over to his brother's in the afternoon.

I wish everyone on my Christmas list had Barbies, As I can knit them hats and scarves in less then an hour. I need to buy a Monster High doll to use as a dress form for other 2 grand daughter's collection. Making doll clothes is a family tradition. I have some outfits, that my grandma made for my mother's Shirley Temple doll.

That does sound tasty. I made a really basic Almond one last year. Was fine, but I'd like something with more flavor to it.

Tonight, catching up with friends we've not seen for months down the pub. T'other half will probably get squiffy and need carrying to bed. Aww. (Did I mention I quit drinking back in February?)

Tomorrow will involve a blast down leafy lanes on The Warg (for so is named the ugly Honda 500 I treated meself to this week) and a final bit of prep for Chrimble din-dins.

Sunday is cooking for extended family, followed by mind-numbing crap on TV.

Skyrim.


Why should this weekend be any different from the last 4?

I'm getting kidnapped by my parents today sometime; we'll probably do some last minute shopping while they're in town.

I'll be spending 4 days at my parents' place, hopefully not bored out of my mind for most of it. Beer & novels will probably help

Theoretically making christmas cookies, though since i'm still technically sick, that may not occur. Other than that, as little as possible.

This will be my first Christmas where I won't be with my mom and my brother. It's sort of depressing, and as such, I have not really gotten into the spirit. I sent out all my gifts via Amazon or other company delivery services. My mom gave me my gifts before I left, which was really just a $300 Visa gift card. It was really very nice of her. We used part of it to go across the island to Kona and stay for a night as a Christmas celebration. My husband has to work, so I'll be home by myself on Christmas, most likely playing WoW. He only has to work a few hours, so that's good, I guess.
