This happened to me all the time too. No joint pain, just general aching in my calves and thighs that would go away after a couple of days.

Here is my old dead smashed car from earlier this year someone rear-ended me going about 60 on I-95.. I'd like to think it was that I was listening to Philippians on CD when it happened that saved my life.. but more possible all of the crap in my trunk.. Also the fact that I happened to look up at the right time and turned my wheel to the right which prevented me to getting accordion squashed into the trunk in front of me. I was sitting still. The only fatality was a flattened PC-Vac.

I had "growing pains" and also growing pains. Have them lie her down on a table and pull her feet forward. For most people, they can align the feet just fine. For me, I had a back problem diagnosed as a foot problem when they saw my feet did not align. I just got done with treatment, and it's still a long road. While these things may or may not be related (assuming she's luckier in the birth-defect-having and/or birth-defect-mis-diagnosing departments,) I did have other growing pains. Aside from those, I gained a fascination for cracking my knuckles... and as a result every other joint as much as I could when I was young. It's hard to say whether cracking my knees was a symptom or caused the issue, but I had huge knee pain problems around ages 10-12.

What's really weird is that I had custom orthotics (see above caveat,) yet still ended up having to walk with crutches for a while. Furthermore, no doc spotted the back problem (that caused everything up to this point,) until I was either 23 or 24. So... yeah. I would go with the checking-things-out route :)
