I'd go with old video game themes, myself. Death metal may get the desired results, but it won't get stuck in other peoples' heads to torment them hours later.
Though I guess you could attempt to go best of both worlds and find metal versions of classic game songs, but I'm not sure how effective that'd be.

An good office chair is one of the only things i can purchase in my little bureaucracy without six or seven layers of approval.

I'm in what can be most easily described as a design studio. A large room with a couple desks, design tables, printers, plan digitizer, scanners, plotter, plan racks, a bookcase behind me for my various books 'n binders, etc. The desks are arranged on opposite sides so I have my own space, although I suppose I'll have even more space once I take over completely.
Plus a there's map of the world pinned to the wall which still includes Yugoslavia. I've no idea what that's all about
No cubical walls though, much less shared cubicals. I guess no one here got the memo that there's only two types of work spaces in the Wide World of Employment.

It does have North and South America. Also Burma. And Thailand says "(Siam)" under it.

I'm in and out of the office. But even when i'm at the office I have one of those cool wireless headsets so I can walk around outside while talking on the phone when it's nice out. When you do everything from marketing to customer service to sales it's good to be mobile and flexible. Of course in my office I have a framed copy of the national geographic societies map of the heavens, a few pictures i've taken over the years from a park I run/hike at blown up and framed, and during the spring and summer I keep a few vegetable plants just outside my window. Being a field tech working out of home, my office is generally my car. Depending on where I am the view is sometimes great and I often have free wifi.
