And for the record, we never put price stickers on candy bars when I worked retail, but every item that did have a price sticker we put it on the front of the item, facing the customer. Now, to be fair, we didn't have tags on the shelves back in those ancient days *and* we didn't have any sort of scanner, so maybe things have changed. But it just seems like if you're going to bother to go through the trouble of putting a price sticker on a product, you should put it on the damn front.

/waves cane!

Ask me about how fun it was to put price stickers on five billion anime chotchskies! All while in a short skirt meant for Asians at least a foot shorter than me. Boss was very open about only hiring girls. The whole "power over boys making women more powerful than men" spiel should have tipped me off about how much I'd hate the job, but noooo, it just sounded so fun!

I was jealous of my pregnant coworker who didn't have to wear the schoolgirl costume (incidentally, she was the only coworker I liked, with whom I never shared shifts Smiley: mad)

Comic shop: Worst. Job. Ever. So glad I got fired. Too openly hateful of the customers. It's so much nicer to be dealing with rednecks at a sporting goods store. I get to wear pants!

Elinda's the 1%!

I'm 1% of something fer sure.

It was a Green&Black chocolate bar. I just looked at their website. It appears my local grocery also sells this chocolate. Now I suppose I'll have to comparison shop.

So, as it turns out, I'd mentioned the old date on the candy bar to my cubby neighbor here at work. She is personal friends with the owners of this shop and called them right up. Supposedly they were gushing over with apology and, through her, asked me to come in to get a new chocolate bar or my money back.

But, that was two days ago. I've eaten most of the chocolate. I avoided stopping there for coffee this morning or yesterday just because I don't like to have to be personable at 7:30am. The store owners know about the expiration dates now, so I'm content. I'll go back to them for coffee next week maybe and hope they don't connect me with the whole chocolate bar affair. And yet it remains at the forefront of your thoughts. I understand how radical whacked out liberals like yourself wouldn't want someone who values liberty, freedom, personal responsibility and independence procreating. You would much rather they be the types that comprise the majority of the democrat party; the poor, uneducated (pick your minority), socialized, pseudo-academics, lawyer, and actor types.

Sounds like the defense that congresswoman from california is going to use after walking out of a store with thousands worth of merchandise on her.
Ur such a boob. It's not defense of anything, it's just the way it is.

Neither me, my husband, or my kids have ever been unfortunate enough to have to turn to any social services to get by. In fact, my eldest is becoming quite the little entrepreneur - enjoying much success with her photography business. A year ago, she'd was all 'i don't want to just take pictures to make money, I want to make art', now she's all like, 'what else can I add to a photo-packages to make MOAR monies?!'.

If it actually happens (hah), I'm sure he'll suddenly enjoy the liberty of an abortion.

He'll deny it and say the liberals forced him to do it, though

The mistake is thinking "fortune" had anything to do with it. If society, and liberals in particular, would stop perpetuating the myth that those who are successful were only able to achieve that success through luck of the draw we might be able stop raping those who are trying to achieve higher levels of success. And we're back to talking about people being held personally responsible for their own life choices.

Smiley: jester
I know it's not obvious but unfortunate is not the opposite of fortune.

Truth be told, they are opposites, as fortune is synonymous with "luck". Unless you meant that they aren't opposites because they aren't the same part of speech.

Of course, that doesn't make varus correct.

Yeah, as far as I can tell he's not even listed as an associate in the business.

Looking through their published records, you were never listed as part of the ownership, and only have been listed as a non-participatory agent. Sidenote; the biz seems to have started sucking wind around that time period. Unless the owner was violating several reporting and asset management regulations you would have neither a cut, unless it was a termination settlement, nor be legally allowed to transfer client propriety information, per federal law. Account data would again, be property of the business enterprise.
