It seems like almost no one plays field hockey in Canada. I didn't even know it existed until I moved to Vancouver... where people seem to play it but lived in small towns all over and no one ever played it not even in gym class (we even played lacrosse in gym class)

Yes they do. At least in the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, India, China, South Africa and Pakistan. (And some other countries as well, but I think I've got most of the big countries covered)
