Interns are ok though right?

I'm really not sure what you're referencing here. Assault is fine if you're of age?

Interestingly enough, I'd wager most people don't know if they do not like butt sex as they haven't tried it.

And, most of the time, I'd wager that the very thought that they just might like it is the reason most people oppose gay...well anything.

All right, so sue and fire the principal, and give the kid detention. A kid being provocative (if a "GSA: We've Got Your Back" shirt slogan can even be called that) is no excuse for physical contact or physical intimidation by an adult, let alone an educator, let alone a principal.
Very offensive, that slogan totally hints at surprise buttsex.

What's offensive about surprise buttsex? Smiley: dubious

Psh, there are only two types of people. Those who like buttsex and those who haven't tried it yet.
Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people who don't like buttsex. They're just not the people who are likely to end up in bed with you. Smiley: grin

Wow, still no follow up on the school that lost a court case because someone saw someone else wearing a t-shirt that someone found offensive. Gbaji, can you please tell me what school this was? Hell, if you got a minute, supply a link or two about these twin lawsuits that the school lost?

Sorry. I forgot about that. I actually got the details backwards, but for the point I'm making it doesn't matter. The school is Poway High School. Here's a story about it.

It was a student who wore an anti-gay t-shirt, not the other way around. He successfully sued that his right to free speech was infringed. The kids mentioned at the end who filed suite for "being harassed" because of the t-shirt? They also won. The effect is that the courts have told the school that it's a violation of the students rights to not allow them to wear such a shirt, but it's also a violation of other students rights to allow them to. Yay legal system!

Yeah. I misread it, then did a quick search on that specific case and it wasn't about the t-shirt itself. Kinda busy today so I didn't get a chance to post a correction. In any case, I do know that there was a "related" lawsuit specific to the t-shirt incident itself (filed by the GSA itself and specific to the speech disrupting their organized event IIRC). I don't recall if the lawsuit was just settled or what, but the school definitely "lost" in both directions on that one incident.

Oh. And in the interest of full disclosure, I was not aware that the original couple court rulings for the student were finally overturned at a federal court level and is now being appealed to the Supreme Court. So, technically, that case isn't done yet.

To be fair, Poway is also somewhat of an exception. It's in a well to do neighborhood with a large percentage of youngish attorney parents who just love to find something to sue the school so they can practice their trade. It's somewhat of a joke, but it results in real costs for the school district every single year. You would simply not believe the number of ridiculous things that school gets sued over.

You should definitely avoid using the word "definitely" when you've already screwed up the story and now want us to just take your word for it that this other thing that would totally prove your point happened.

So you don't believe that a GSA would sue the school for failing to provide a safe environment for homosexuals in their school? And you don't see how the initial loses in the case involving the kid wearing the t-shirt in question might just prompt a lawsuit of their own when more kids start wearing them in support of the first kid?

You have been reading this thread, right?

I definitely know that when you definitely need to say "You don't believe..." instead of definitely giving definite evidence, it definitely means you're definitely full of crap. Definitely.
