Liberal media being suedFollow

Quote:
Despite the very clear disclaimer by Dean on his ministries website and elsewhere regarding the false accusation that he was calling for the execution of homosexuals, according to the announcement, "MSNBC's Rachel Maddow and others seized on and accused Dean on her show of supporting the killing of homosexuals, as is the practice in some radical Islamic countries. This seriously has harmed Dean and the ministry, who pride themselves on respect and love for all people."

Like I've said this is what the liberal media does. This kind of reporting is also why you libs think most americans accept homosexuality as normal when they really don't.

Kind of like the liberal media accusing Rush of being the one who came up with "obama the magic negro".

The original statement:
Quote:
Muslims are calling for the execution for homosexuals in America, this was just released yesterday and it shows you that they themselves are upholding the laws that are even in the Bible, the Judeo Christian God. They seem to be more moral than even the American Christians do. Because these people are livid about enforcing their laws, they know homosexuality is an abomination. And I continually reach out to the homosexual communities on this radio show, and I warn them, which ones love? Here you have Obama condemning it behind the backs of the homosexuals but to their faces he's promoting it. I say this to my gay friends out there the ones that continuously nitpick everything I say. Hollywood is promoting immorality and the God of the Heavens in Jesus names is warning you to flee from the wrath to come, yet you have Muslims calling for your execution. If America won't enforce the laws, God will raise up a foreign enemy to do just that's what you're seeing in America today. Read Leviticus 26 America.

What Maddows claims it said:
Quote:
The Muslims are calling for the execution of homosexuals in America. This was just released yesterday and it shows you that they themselves are upholding the laws that are even in the Bible of the Judeo-Christian God. But they seem to be more moral than even the American Christians do because these people are livid about enforcing their laws. They know homosexuality's an abomination. If America won't enforce the laws, God will raise up a foreign enemy to do just that."

Leviticus 26 says in part: "I will set my face against you so that you will be defeated by your enemies; those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee even when no one is pursuing you."

So...
Dean says Muslims are executing homosexuals, which is called for in the Bible, and they appear to him more moral than Christians.
Dean later backpedals.
Maddow reports on his original statement
Dean and friends sue.

Yeah, nice case Smiley: rolleyes

Despite backpedaling after the original controversy, Maddows covered Dean's original statement pretty well, IMO. And it doesn't seem the people who are suing are necessarily looking to win the amount they're asking for:
Quote:
"This case is filed as a matter of principle," he said. "We need more Bradlee Deans in the world and hateful left wing television commentators must be made to respect not only his mission but the law."

Anyone can file a lawsuit, doesn't mean there's anything there.

They lied, and misrepresented, what this preacher said so as to further their own pro-homosexual agenda.

That's what the lawsuit alleges. It hasn't actually been decided, though.

The clip of Maddow that prompted the (attention demanding bogus) lawsuit. The questionable content begins about 2minutes in.

Lol.

Hopefully the courts are focusing on the real issues in MN - like the teen suicide epidemic and the lack of any anti-bullying legislation (Bachmann claims it's just too hard).

Why would I? I don't really know the story and don't care. If she did something wrong, she should face consequences. But anyone can file a lawsuit so... big whoop?

The sum total of time I've spent watching Rachael Maddow could fit into your average commercial break with time left over for an "talk to your kids about drugs" PSA.

Of course, it'll be after the drastic rise in suicides eliminating all the kids, but once they're gone the rate will plummet.

It should be pointed out that insurance salesmen are documented to have a higher rate of suicides. More proof that Gumbo Galahad is behind the Bell Curve on everything.

This is the lie. He never said he supported the killing of homosexuals. Rachel twisted his initial statement to fit her political agenda.

Funny, Maddow never said he said that. She quoted him as saying Muslims are upholding the laws of the Judeo-Christian Bible by killing homosexuals, that he finds them more moral than American Christians, and that God will raise a foreign force to enforce His laws if we won't.

Also, that's the most Rachel Maddow I've ever watched. She reminds me of Olbermann; exact same diction. Is it a pundit thing?

Edit: And I should say "quoted" as in "played the literal quotes of Dean talking on his radio show."

One or two, the rest just copy them. It's a very easy faux-personality to imitate.

Look, if you want easy targets, get them when they're still confused. It's what the breeders have to do.
