You'd think that women would be much better at their expected role if they were able to go about it independently.
Then again, I guess part of their cultural role is being ******* useless without a man.

Interestingly, while there are certain strict restrictions on women in Saudi Arabia, the culture is not nearly as misogynistic as westerners often think. Women are in other ways very revered... it's somewhat akin to the archaic marriage of chivalry and misogyny the west experienced centuries ago. That's a generalization of course, but many Saudi women consider themselves to be treated with the highest respect.
