An ad campaign has been launched by the Mormon church (With some push from Romney) on You-tube which aims to sell the public on effectively the viability of their religion. This is funny to me on many levels.

Everyone here knows the Joseph Smith story, right? I believe even Mormons are taught it. Boggles the mind how anyone can take it, in particular, seriously.

They like to add and omit certain little tidbits about his story. They are told that even as a child, people thought he was somewhat mystical, and if you bring up his fraud conviction, they tell you that it was made up just to discredit him.

Just a couple thoughts regarding the last few posts. I don't know why you make such a big deal about Romney making vows and being a member of the LDS faith yet forget that Harry Reid is LDS as well. Did these vows you continue to bring up (and know nothing about) interfere with his ability to be Senate Majority leader? While Mitt Romney was Governor of Massachusetts did you hear anything about how his vows kept him from performing his job? I don't recall seeing anything in the news about the LDS church taking over for Romney or Reid in either of their positions.

If he made vows and performs up to them in a less than wholehearted fashion, his character is in question. I would say that he has left plenty of room to have his character questioned.

As to Senator Reid, failing to live up to the ideals of his Mormon vows are the least of his issues, and mine with him as a politician.

Well, Reid has shown himself to be independent of whatever vows by taking multiple stances contradictory to the Mormon church. Romney, on the other hand, has recanted any shreds of political moderation he's shown while governor and claims to have seen the light about homosexuality and abortion and all the rest of it.

More to the point though, I was pointing out Gbaji's hypocrisy in urinating all over himself in terror over one thing and not the other.
