Hi! I know I've been kind of MIA lately (though I've been lurking from time to time). How is everyone? What are folks doing for the summer? Any news? Any new babies, engagements, deaths, adoptions, marriages, new jobs, jackpot winnings, graduations, adventures worth mentioning?

Hannah is six and attending summer camp (day camp, not overnight). She will be going into first grade in the fall, which makes me cringe. Smash are in the process of buying a new place. Hannah has already drawn the schematics for the tree house she would like to commission, complete with a balloon car on the top level (I have no idea what this means) and a medicine kit for the dog we don't have (and we're not getting) on the bottom level. Other than that, it's work, work, work interspersed with weekends full of Hannah-centered entertainment like beach and museum trips. Nothing new really.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Umm, I'm almost at 10k. Is that worth mentioning?

No?

Well whatever, this brought me 1 post closer.

That's all well and good, but the additional stars are a sacrilege.

Moving to a new apartment next month, and hoping to find a new (full-time) job soon. ZAM position stays the same.

My life is boring Smiley: grin

Jophiel v3.0 is having his baptism tomorrow followed by a party at a small zoo/park. Of course, he doesn't have a frame of reference yet to think an otter is any more new and interesting than the tree next to the otter.

Lease expires at the end of August, so I'm moving into a new place soon. International travels the past year or so have been exciting (China!). Working like crazy, but still managing to sneak out at night to save waylaid travelers from road-side bandits, or kill X number of large rats for Johnny NPC back in the outpost (by which I mean that I'm still playing MMOs, this time LOTRO since it went F2P).

Tell Smash that he's an cnut for me.

2.0 headed to second grade, 2.1 headed to his death if he keeps developing the current personality track, working out the details for a doubling in size of the current fortress of solitude, teaching 2.0 to pick up dog ****. Nothing special, just life.

Nexa,

I'm wondering what you have against dogs?

Not a thing! In fact, I like dogs so much, that I just can't be one of those ******* dog owners that gets a dog even though they know they'll be out of the house for 10 hours a day. If at some point I end up working closer to home or one of us will be there more often, I'd be up for getting a dog.

I want an Australian shepherd.

Well, if you haven't seen enough of my tweets or FB posts:

Same old ****, different day for me. Still married, still got the kids (even though Ray and I have tried to get rid of them numerous times), still have the house. Ray started school again to finish up his degrees (seriously hope he finishes before his eligibility for his GI Bill runs out). Kicking around the idea of a side business, so trying to figure out how my work schedule and the rest of my life would be if I pursued that. Charmaine got cast for yet another zombie movie short, but it's a web series this time. Wish I could figure out why Charmaine seems to attract all the undead projects.

I got a .73 out of 85 on my final exam for a summer class I took. I think that online quiz is broken, I'm pretty sure I got more than .73 questions right on that. Waiting for an email from the professor.

Still alive, so far. Just working mostly. Got promoted at least, so the extra income should be nice. Not too much extra responsibility since I was mostly doing everything to begin with. Lost a lot of weight! I also completely conquered revolving doors. Smiley: nod
