I was sitting in my car last night and felt something on my arm. "A Spider! I brushed it off and it swung on its web and landed on my drink. Good thing they put covers on them that you can place a straw through. My next attempt of spider removal had him off the cup and not smashed in the napkin I was trying to squish it with.

Normally I'm reasonable with spiders and remove them without harm. But, sometimes, I just can't be bothered to spare a life and stomp one out. If they're smart they'll stay in the window screens like they're supposed to.

I have a strict spider policy: Don't come in my house, I won't kill you.

I have a co-worker that was bitten on his leg by a brown-recluse a couple months ago. The bite hasn't healed. Its a big gross open sore that this guy just had to show me last week. So yesterday when I spotted a big brown spider scurrying across my basement floor, I squished it. Typically I let the basement spiders live.

Also yesterday morning I got up and there was a dead hummingbird hanging upside-down (like a bat) from my hummingbird feeder. The same bird had been there the other day actually sitting (not perching) on the feeder and looking very unhealthy. Then it disappeared for a day or so. When I got home from work it was lying dead on the porch. It was kind of sad. I think it was a war-death. The hummingbirds seem very aggressive with one-another this year.
