You keep saying the situation room photo is a fake. Where is your proof of that?
Um... Do you honestly think they allow media into the situation room during a black op, let alone allow them to take pictures? Really?
But since some of you can't engage your own brains to noodle something out, and must instead have someone else hold your hand and tell you what is true,
here's the first thing google tells me.
And in case you're wondering
why this is relevant. That photo was all over the place in the days after the OBL op. Lots of media types were falling over themselves (as this guy is) to make a huge deal out of it, to show how that photo somehow captured the essence of government in action, etc, etc, etc. So the revelation that the photo was staged after the fact is kinda important. They're not watching for news of the op as was (nearly?) universally captioned with the photo. It was staged after the fact. They were pretending to do whatever it is people think they're doing in that photo.
Did people read what I wrote and actually think that there was no truth to this? I'll point out again, that the caption is attempting to claim that this photo was taken in the white house situation room, during a black op, while those in the room were waiting to hear whether they'd succeeded in getting OBL. Seriously? Nobody's spidey sense went off on that one? The first time I saw the photo I assumed it was a staged picture. I just never thought anyone else would think it was real, so I didn't think it mattered. Apparently, a lot of people are more gullible than even I thought.
