Awfully strong reaction for something you don't care about and have never cared about.
That's it, just keep repeating that to yourself. Keep telling yourself it's a big deal, you'll believe it one day and that nagging logic won't be around to tell you otherwise.
You were the one who choose to respond with "Ahahaha, oh wow. That's the reference you decided to go with?". You sure seemed to have a pretty strong opinion about the issue then.
I'm quite sure you never cared enough about the issue to learn the facts, but that's kinda the point, isn't it? You still reacted as though you *knew* that what I was saying was ridiculous despite that lack of knowledge about the subject itself. Which was precisely the point I was making. People continue to believe things long after the events which put that initial impression into their heads have been completely debunked and disproved. I'm sure you saw all the talk about Joe Wilson and accepted the widely repeated assertions made at the time. And then later, when cooler heads prevailed and the facts came out, and it became obvious that the initial assumptions were wrong, you never noticed.
Why? Because retractions and corrections rarely if ever get significant coverage. So you'll go on believing something that is false long after you should have learned otherwise. You just provided a perfect example of how that happens and exactly why it's important to make a big deal whenever the media does this sort of thing, no matter how minor you may think it is at the time.
