Liberal media bias? The hell you say.Follow

Seems Obama is a pretty popular guy. According to the new AP poll he is at 60% approval the majority of Americans think he is masterfully handling the economy, deserves to be re-elected and people are dancing in the streets.

CBS, NBC, ABC and several large newspapers have all ran this new poll as fact and liberal blogs are joyfully posting it all over their sites.

Except there is a slight problem......... The poll was fixed. AP heavily skewed Democrats and despite the fact that at the very least this poll was "accidentally" tainted and proven incorrect it is still being reported as fact by several news organizations.

No such thing as a liberal bias in the main stream media at all..........

I think its cute you're "subtly" saying that there is only liberal bias in the main stream media.

AP has the past year or more's worth of partisan identification listed in the poll and it's pretty consistent with Republican identification only reaching/surpassing Democratic identification around the 2010 midterms. So why the sudden crying now?

It's doubtful the poll was "fixed" unless the theory here is that GfK Custom Research has been using fraudulent data for the past year and just hoping no one notices and that it doesn't impact the decisions of any of their other clients. But I suppose it gives the Right something to go on about for another day.

Yeah, the polling partisan affiliation data was in the same place as every other AP-Gfk poll they've done. Which, coincidentally, also has similar partisan affiliation breakdowns. Amazing what a pair of eyes can do for ya, huh?

But you obviously need this so... ummm... OMG!! Shocking that someone actually read the data after two years!! Stars and garters!!!!

I know, Douglas. I don't blame you. Boys and girls sleepover, only few parents find it to be an innocent idea. And sure, most of them go rather smoothly. It can still get ... naughty. But it'll be friendly. One of the girls decide she doesn't mind flashing you with her young and developing breast. A boy or two ask if they can touch and will back away if the girl says no. But you couldn't sleep, could you? I know how much you love her, Douglas. And it's hard, I mean she's sleeping right next to you. You got curious, tried to slowly pull her shirt up. You got to poking, got to rubbing a bit. She was still asleep and so were the rest of the boys and girls around you. You thought "What's the harm? She's asleep, wont remember, I just wanna look." That's the problem, Douglas. Sometimes you can't just look. You pulled her panties down and you finally saw it. You've seen breast all the time but never a real pussy. Of course you're gonna wanna touch it. It wasn't your fault. How did you know she'd wake up with her breast out and your finger slightly in her pussy. You can hide here as long as you'd like Douglas but eventually you'll have to come face to face with what you did. You're not gonna go to jail, you're far too young. They'll let you back into school, Patti wont talk to you anymore. Or even stand being in the same room as you, and you know what? You'll just have to move on. It's normal to want to touch girls Doug. It only gets very wrong when you're as old as me. You still got a chance, I already crossed that line.

By the way, tell your sister I said Hi.

Twenty pages down (OMG buried deeper!!) from the partisan affiliation is ideological affiliation.

Liberal: 23%
Conservative: 38%
Moderate: 36%

WHY ISN'T ANYONE REPORTING ON THE PRO-CONSERVATIVE BIAS IN THIS POLL AND THE CONSERVATIVE MEDIA BIAS????

More seriously, if you look at the Republican affiliation, as it goes up and down it seems to steal from the "unknown" group. I'd guess that there's a sizable number of conservatives who don't consider themselves Republicans for whatever reason.

The Yahoo article Thiefx linked wrote:
Some conservatives criticized the AP-GfK poll as heavy with responses from Democrats. AP-GfK polls use a consistent technique that starts with a random sample of the population and lets respondents identify their own political leanings. In this poll, 46 percent of respondents identified themselves as Democrats or leaning that way, while 29 percent said they were Republicans or leaning to the GOP. How people identify their leanings fluctuates in polls along with their other political opinions. The change in party identification in the current AP-GfK current poll is not a statistically significant shift from the previous poll in March, and does not by itself explain the poll findings.

Since they put the info right into the article, it doesn't appear they are trying to hide anything.

Less than five minutes. How long do you think it takes to scan a page heading?

Quote:
just to confirm that the poll was skewed

But it's not. The poll is balanced for ideological affiliation. Provided that the sampling was random, it shows that fewer conservatives self-identify as Republican than liberals self-identify as Democrats (as well as significant number of "moderates" who just don't want to use the word "liberal"). Given the Tea Party movement and people saying that the Republicans need a wake-up call because they spend like Democrats, etc this isn't really surprising. They probably vote Republican given the choice between the two parties but they don't identify themselves as Republican.

Wouldn't it have just been easier to say "you're right ThiefX..."

Wouldn't it have been easier to say "You're right, Joph, I saw an article that told me what I wanted to hear and went off the cry about it without putting the minimum amount of time into seeing whether it was correct or not? And reading is really hard for me which is why I couldn't take the five minutes to actually read the poll I was crying about past the section that self-affirmed my biases?

That's an awful lot of words for him to use all at once. You're not being very realistic here Joph.

I think what TheifX's problem is right now, is that he just can't possibly believe these numbers:

Quote:
Liberal: 23%
Conservative: 38%
Moderate: 36%

It's as though he thinks that all non-liberals will be like him and unilaterally disapprove of Obama. Thing is, and it would do well for Varus to learn this as well, not everyone is so blindly partisan.

ThiefX is a less interesting version of Varus. Varus, for all his mongoloid glory, is at least amusing to mock from day to day. ThiefX just runs in, makes an idiotic thread and then retreats for another week.
