Finally.

I had assumed he was already dead and no one knew it.

Also, in response to Lolgaxe's question regarding the opinions of the crazies, many of the tinfoil hats are insisting that he's been dead for 8 years and that the "New World Order' is just pulling his body out of cold storage, or they're pretending not to care.

/facepalm

Pretty sure he was talking aout the Trifecta and the 3rd won't appear until sometime today as there's no forms of modern communication in the deep woods. Just grunts.

From what I understand, they had to get him buried within 24 hours following Muslim tradition. Just glad there isn't a grave to become a rallying point for future nut jobs.

Yes, releasing this information wouldn't be dangerous for the shooter in any way shape or form...

Right, because partying on the White House lawn showed all kinds of foresight.

ThiefX,

I have watched the speech, and so far, he has said the word "we", in reference to the government and military of the USA, a ridiculous amount of times. About 3 minutes in he says that he directed Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA to make killing or capturing bin laden the top priority, which is hardly taking full credit for the work done by the CIA, he did his job, and he said so. Then he says "we" again several times, in the same context as before.

Then, about 3 and a half minutes in, he says that he, personally was briefed on a lead as to OBL's location. Again, thias is not him taking personal credit for the kill, he is just stating what he does for a living again. Shortly thereafter, he says he worked with his National Security Team, which, again, is not taking personal credit for the work of the CIA, again, just stating the fact that he was doing his job. Then he says "we" a bunch more times in the same context as previously established.

Then, about 4 minutes in, he says that he, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief, decided based on the evidence at hand(provided by the CIA), gave the go ahead to go in, which again, is his duty as President of the USA. He then proceeds to talk about giving orders, which is also his job in such situations, and talks about and praises the team that went in.

Then he says "we" some more.

He then proceeds, about 5 mins in, to mention that he had maintained that they weren't at war with Islam, again using the word "I", but not taking credit for the entire effort, and even mentions Bush. He then reaffirms that he had said that he would give the order to take action in Pakistan if "we" were to find out the location of OBL. Which, again, if you weren't paying attention, is his job.

Just about 6 minutes in, he praises the co-operation of Pakistan, again giving credit where credit is due. He then mentioned that he had personally called the president of Pakistan, which, while using the word "I", is not taking any personal credit for the entire effort.

He then, about 6.5 minutes in, mentions his thought processes when he had to sign letters to the families of those killed in the war against Al Qaeda. Again, perfectly fine. Then he says "we" again.

He then continues on to talk about 9/11, America, and the war against Al Qaeda.

So, I have to ask, what ******* speech were you watching?

The criticism at the time (and I thought it was in 08, during the campaign, but whatever) wasn't about sending in a hit team to take out someone like OBL, but was about firing air strikes across the border to take out joe random Taliban and Al-queda fighters.

No, it wasn't but I can understand why you need to lie now to cover your embarrassed ***. He said specifically "If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets". And you were right there screaming about how horrible this was and how it was just like threatening to invade Pakistan and what a mistake it was.

Thank God retards like you aren't in charge so we could actually get Osama bin Laden.

Great news! I know people that are celebrating his death. My former roommate lost relatives on 9/11.
I can see it taking a full week before the announcement. They wanted to make positive ID on him.

It is funny because the same people who won't give obama credit for this blame him for the economy.

It didn't take a week. That was just idle speculation and shaky reporting filling the time until Obama spoke.

I wonder how long until we find out if we are in more or less danger now. I wish bush was still around to let us know how scared to be.

Not according to Bush, who congratulated Obama on bringing Osama to "justice".
