Woot. Weekend.
My husband came home from Florida with a HUGE bag of oranges. They're really tart. Too tart to eat outright, or even to squeeze into OJ without adding some sugar. They should be perfect for marmalade. It's silly, and reminds me that I'm an old person, but I'm kind of excited to try making a new type of jam (I'll be making my own pectin from the seeds and membranes!!) and to also have the opportunity to can some sweetstuff in the Spring. My fall stocks are already getting low.
I started some seeds to grow some veggie plants a few weeks ago, but only three of the thirty have sprouted. They were old seeds. I'll have to pick up some more and get them going. I still have time to get plants big enough for the garden if I do it this weekend.

Ray's got midterms to take Saturday so really nothing much on the agenda this weekend, aside from the standard house and yard stuff. I hope it does clear up a it so we can clean up outside.
Some much needed quality time with the girlfriend and puppy. I've been a couch nomad for the past few weeks while I wait for our lease period to start on our new place. Not fun.
Still laid up in bed recovering from my appendectomy. Tomorrow, international football all day.
Sunday, the girlfriend is coming round. Might even try venturing outside the house if I feel up to it.

This weekend got packed crazy fast for us.
I just finished taping an interview with NBCs morning talk show here in NC for the site I volunteer at. Totally cool experience. It will air Monday morning and be up on their website by the afternoon.
We're leaving in an hour for a surprise road trip to Atlanta, to visit the worlds largest aquarium. Everything is packed and gtg. Boys know we're going on an adventure but thats it. They told us to keep it a surprise.
Should be a good time =)
I just finished taping an interview with NBCs morning talk show here in NC for the site I volunteer at. Totally cool experience. It will air Monday morning and be up on their website by the afternoon.

Roommate went crazy, so I'll be deciding where I want to live (and if I want to get my own place) once my lease is up!
Other than that, have articles to work on, a Korean food festival tomorrow, and visiting the butterfly museum some time this weekend with the girlfriend!
