Ice cream containing mothers' breast milk has been confiscated from a London shop that caused a stir — and some long lines — when it introduced the product last week. Westminster Council officials say the flavor, dubbed Baby Gaga, must undergo testing to ensure it doesn't pose a health threat.

Sooooo....

So many possibilities:

Hersheys chocolate with boogers (better'n bacon).

Earwax melted over a sardine stacked cracker.

Chex Mix with nail-bits.

.......I wonder if I could still make breast-milk.

It's kind of ironic how we find milk of our own species gross but milk from an animal is totally acceptable.

With that said.

Hard to say, I've never had breast milk past 6 months, and those memories aren't the clearest. I'd assume it's most similar to whole milk? That'd be ok I guess, but not more than a glass of it.

EDIT: It'd have to be cold.

I think human milk is thinner. Think skim.

Grrr I have been wanting to try breast milk ice cream for about a year now, just been having trouble finding a willing female participant. Guess it gives me a reason to head to London.

Did the product come with pictures of the donor... cause I wouldn't want to be eating breast milk icecream unless I knew what the woman looked like!

I asked a friend who is currently nursing - she said she and her husband have both tried it, and they both said it was really sweet, "not bad at all."

With my second kid I went back to work fairly soon so was 'pumping' breast milk. I don't think it tastes much different than cows milk. Straight from the breast it appears very watery - but I think it's more just a watery film that shows up because it's warm. Once it cooled down it looked more like 1%.

Cantaloupe is actually quite similar. It's quite sweet but not sickening sweet (sugar sweet, not syrup sweet). It's like cows milk with a bit of sugar in it. Quite tasty.
