Whatcha got?

We have more household/yard chores, soccer, swimming and hanging out to do. Pretty standard weekend. I want to get out and do a long bike ride too, if I get a chance.

Weather forecasters are saying it might snow here for the first time since 1976. If it does I'll try to get some pictures.

Saturday, we'll be heading off to the Natural History Museum with our kids and nephews. They have a T-Rex on display, so should b e pretty exciting for the kids. Friday and Sunday involve me watching my kids and my nephews while the wife works.

My weekend began last night - I'm off every other Friday. The weather here is cold and rainy but the temperature is slowly rising into next week to almost Spring-like conditions (not quite there yet).

I spent three hours last night waiting in a queue for Rift (early start began yesterday). Finally got on and leveled up my main to 10 (bard/nightblade/riftstalker). Main toon joined a cool guild with mature, fun folks. For now, just making toons on all three PvE-RP servers but primary server is Faeblight (others are Shadefallen and Estrael). Look for Snorre, Haemish, Snorri, or, Hamish (all Guardian-side Dwarves). Played Rift until 1:30am and beasties got me up early today so I'll be crashing naptastically today at some point.

Getting my new elliptical machine assembled tonight - so once it's put together I'll be starting up a daily workout regiment.

Off to make some breakfast then back to get my Rift-nerd on - fun game!

I heard that the Bay area was predicted to see some of that elusive white stuff.

It just started snowing here - we're predicted to get 12-16inches. This time of year the snow gets very heavy, often wavering between being snow and freezing rain. It's hard on the trees, which in turn is hard on the power lines. I'm all prepped for a power outage.

My husband leaves today or tomorrow to visit his parents down in sunny FL. He'll be down there about a month. I'm likely to game too much and housework too little while he's gone.

The only plans I have for the weekend are to make good on a promise to have my son's gf over for pizza. Apparently she likes my pizza...and is home from college atm.

I've had a week of vacation so it isn't so much weekend as it is end of vacation for me.
I'm going to try and get some hours of WoW before my vacation ends in between sorting out RL stuff.

Nothing really amazing happening for me this weekend, but it should be a good one regardless. I'll just be divvying up time between the girlfriend, Mass Effect 2, Killzone 3, and hopefully UFC 127 on Saturday. Go Fitch!

We're getting rain instead, about 40-50mm, which is about 2 inches?

I don't have anything spectacular planned; the wife is going down to Westchester again so it's just me and Thom. Today, though, I get to find out exactly where the rain/snow line is here in upstate New York as I have a few calls between here and Albany.

My dad and I are celebrating the successful start of our diets after losing 14 pounds (each) in the last 2 weeks by getting dinner at a local restaurant and then leaving plenty to take home. Should be good stuff.

Yeah, we're both pretty big guys. I started at 250 and went down to 236. He's a bit taller at 260 and got down to 246. We've been eating pretty decently actually, just picking specific foods/ingredients without carbs and that are lean. Hell, last night we had a citrus shrimp with pea pods and red peppers sauteed in olive oil. It's probably one of my favorite meals, insanely simple to make, delicious, and very healthy. His original recipe is to make angel hair pasta and use the shrimp mix to decorate the pasta, but now we're just skipping that.

I also stopped drinking beer. Instead, Vanilla Smirnoff + Diet Mountain Dew = lemon/lime liquid creamsicle.

14 pounds in 2 weeks off of just dieting is remarkable. Hope you guys can stick to it. I'm down about 45 pounds from where I was this time last year. Pretty much where I should be.

Ugh, I have to call out of work to study because my teachers conspired to move up due dates and have three tests in one day.

I wish I had a scale so I could find out if/when I gain weight. One-forty would be a good place for me; I just gotta keep stuffing my face with pasta and taters.

Considering the rate for healthy weight loss is about 1 pound a week, you're doing well

Need to go grocery shopping, catch up on my DVR backlog, and do some laundry.

Now if I could only get adjusted back to the time zone; waking up at 6am on a Saturday is not fun. :(

Works for me as well. My daughter, for the most part, refuses to sleep in, at all.
