That's not oatmeal, it's grits.

I think it's mashed taters...and gravy.

This thread makes me hungry.

I've noticed more and more of these chain steakhouse type restaurants (Ninety-nine, Outback, Longhorn, etc) not only offer up the buttered steak with fries, but now they're selling the 'Extras' - for only $1.50 more you can get cheese, bacon bits and sour cream on your fries!!

Ugh, save the poutine for the canucks - I think their innards are designed for that stuff.

Sour cream is not a part of a poutine. Gravy and curds over your fries. Bacon is a nice add on, but really, if you're using the right gravy and actually curds, the bacon is unneeded, dare I say, even unwanted.

Ugly is a poutine hipster. He tries poutines before the maker decides to invest in a restaurant.

Really, only just barely. We were winning until the data collection was complete. Keep at it, 'merica! I don't know what I'm going to do with my career if you stop being fat.

I wonder if there is a correlation between DUIs and the obesity rates. Here in TX you can get fried foods, beer and margaritas at a drive thru. (alcohol can contribute to obesity and tastes great with salty fried foods.. =/ )

I'd have to say that in Texas the humidity ranges from 80% up in summner making any kind of exercise durring the day hazardous to your health. The heat indexes alone can top 110 and with it being humid you can't sweat and then get in trouble. Most of us move to doing any outdoor activities in the early Am or just before it gets dark when the temps are lower. I will not dispute the claim in its way but as for being fat and lazy? That I don't believe.

We don't have blizzards and snowstorms, though. Unless some kind of freak cold front comes through, I'm usually outside in shorts during the winter.

It can get hot even in the earlier parts of the evening, but it's usually not that bad if you bring water with you (like you should!).

Frankly, I love the weather here. Probably why I'm never going to move up north, haha.

I know what you're thinking Timelordwho, but the kids meals get little sippy cups so they don't spill their margaritas.

We also don't let the kids have margaritas after 10 pm so they can get to bed on time!

Oh, I thought we were supposed to give our kids margaritas at 10 pm to help them get to bed on time.

No, that's what daddy's belt is for.

The alcohol is so he doesn't hold back.

What the @#%^ Texas.

Never heard of Brew-Thru? I ran into one of those in NC. Places like that are interspersed throughout the south, as far as I know.

I'm guessing that's what niobia was referring to, not open-container.
