I Survived the snowmageddon in december, and the sonwpocalypse of February, but this foot and a half of snow I got yesterday that was only supposed to be 5cm is a tad bit ridiculous. Curse you "the weatherman" if that is your real name.

Last night the weather report told us we were getting 1cm over night, 1cm this morning, 1cm this afternoon and maybe 1cm this evening. Now, we're getting 15-20cm today and 5 more tonight. This is good though, as it'll cover up the ice in my driveway and maybe make it easier to drive on.

Haha I hear that man, I haven't even seen my driveway in 2 months, I am sure it looks like a lovely layer cake snow,ice,snow,ice,sand,ice,snow,ice etc. Definitely one of the more crazy winters in a long time.

...and it's back. I thought this crap was over with until next Winter, but there's six inches on the ground right now with another six to eight on the way. Apparently a tractor trailer got stuck climbing a hill on my normal route home and shut down the road for two hours. First I got to sit in the middle of the road, stuck between the car ahead of me and the one behind me. Then when things started to move again, I'm thinking "it's about damn time" until I talked to the fireman at the top of the hill. They were turning all traffic around until they could clear out the mess.

All of the side roads at that point were completely impassable by my tiny two wheel drive car, so I went to a local Chinese buffet and ate entirely too much food. After dinner I started to call around to the local hotels to see if I could find a room. Apparently I was not the only one to have that idea, because the only places I could find that weren't sold out were clearing jacking their prices. I hopped back in the car and tried the snowy road again. This time when I got the flare waving fireman I was told that I could go ahead, but was warned to avoid all side roads. A ninety minute care ride later (it usually takes fifteen to twenty minutes) and I'm already thinking that there is no way in hell I'm making it in to work tomorrow.

tl'dr version:
Snow leads to Chinese food.

We're supposed to get 4 inches this thursday in theory. but our snow predicting people here are almost literally 90% wrong on their snow calls over the last 5 years, So we'll see...
