Long time no see - nice to see some familiar names still on here (that I haven't kept in touch with via FB). Hope you all have been doing well. I "worked from home" today due to our snowpacalypse last night so I jumped back into LOTRO. Of course, I had to stop by the Asylum after checking LOTRO stuff here on ZAM.

Life is fine here, still knee-deep in dogs, guitars and surprisingly, not too much gaming (Dragon Age was fun). Socializing (in reality - what a concept!) and Netflix has kept me busy and cut into my what little time I spare for gaming any more. Still, good times in LOTRO today and more so tonight.

I haven't tried Free LOTRO yet although I think about it now and then. I think I'm just burned out on fantasy MMORPGs for the moment.

I take smug satisfaction that after Flea's VA family complained about her leaving for Chicago where it's just ever so cold that the last three years have resulted in pretty standard Chicago winters and rampaging East Coast blizzards.

It's funny, I was thinking about hopping back into LotRO yesterday. I might just do it this weekend.

Good to see ya Snorre.

I understand, Joph. I took about 8 months off from gaming and didn't touch a fantasy novel. The only fantasy thing I've been wanting to check out is Pratchett's Going Postal telemovie (not available on this side of the pond yet).

Kao!

Hey Nad, last night I was up until 3am playing LOTRO - glad I'm off today. My Guardian had a ton of rested exp so I jumped from 13 to 17 very quickly. I'm Snorre in-game, too - look me up!

Hi Smoggy,

I liked Dragon Age. Funny, I think I liked the characters and story more than anything...there was nothing special about the gameplay. I got 'Awakenings' for Christmas but haven't loaded it up yet.

What do you mean?

I keep thinking I'll DL LoTRO again and get my Mini up to cap....but meh, I'll not likely ever do it. Outside of the monster-play and the video clip rewards when finishing up chapters, the game was a bit dull.

Welcome back.
I also enjoyed Dragon Age. Nothing like killing the bad guy and becoming queen.

Heya Snoggy!

I have to get back into LOTRO. Every time I turn my comp on and see the icon, I feel oh so guilty that I have visited Middle Earth.

Yeah, Dragon Age was fun for me - loved the characters and story - gameplay was probably too easy but the death moves were pretty cool. I had run through the game a few times but then my computer had issues so I had to reformat the hard drive...and forgetting to back up my DA save game files. I'm currently running through the game again with a Champion and it's not as fun for me as a Bard/Assassin or Berserker. I'm about 3/4 - just have to run through the Dwarven quests and the end game stuff so that I can export the character to the expansions to see the dialogue difference as opposed to a new character created in the expansion(s). I'll get to it eventually as I do want to finish up the expansions before delving into DAII (on pre-order). LOTRO is a welcome distraction, though.

Just finished knocking out some errands so I've got the rest of the day & night for LOTRO. Ahh, Winter...yes, Winter...

Nice to see you all, too - has EQ2 gone Free to play mode yet? Probably, not, eh?

Yeah, EQ2 has a free to play server now, but it's separate from the other servers. Lots of discussion on that decision.

That's gotta be pissing off a lot of long time, paying subscribers - I'll have to read up on all that.

Meh, I'll pop my head in since someone sent me a message over on Facebook.

I still pop my head in from time to time to see what all has changed or to check out this or that. Still gaming it up, actually turned it into a job. I'm now writing for Gameinatrix.com and hosting a daily videogame news webcast called Lunch with Gingir and Cori.

I know it's late but Grats Flea and Joph on your bouncing bundle of epicness.

Hi to everyone else.

I'm out,
Katie

That website needs some work (it's just showing a "come back later" screen).

Thanks for the congratulations.

I'd argue that it's a case of quality over quantity in regards to my posts but I wouldn't be fooling anyone, least of all myself. Despite that, I'll post when I can. =P
