Whatcha got?

I am fighting a sore throat so I'm going to try to stay healthy. Dinner plans on Saturday night, kid activities and yardwork fill up the rest.

First day of college yesterday. It consisted mainly of reading, as the classes were disorganized thus far and merely handed out various forms. It all felt too "high schoolish," which is to be expected from a community college, I suppose... good thing I'm only there for cheap core classes. I believe I'd die after four years. Anyways, I'm quite looking forward to this weekend. I finished "A Short History of the World" by H.G. Wells yesterday, which was a fun read despite the massive amounts of names which had to be remembered throughout and am currently working on Christopher Hitchen's memoir. It's wonderful so far. I'll probably head out for the weekend with my father, as it's been a while since I've seen him, and I'll meanwhile get a new pair of glasses so I can see once again after the tragic death of my old ones. The girlfriend's fallen on a few rough times with her family, so I'll try to spend some time on the phone with her over the next few days. I'd rather be there with her, naturally, but the circumstances prevent it.

I'm just going to hope the weathermen are right and it's supposed to be a bit warmer this weekend. I need people to come out and golf!

HEading up near Chehalis to visit some relitives this weekend. That and got a whole bunch of rebuild parts for my walkera 4G6s helicopter tail to make it stronger and lighter, so that will likely get put together. may work on some painting this weekend too.

Maybe in middle TN but here they're saying 40's and rain on Monday. Of course, that could change at any second.

going to a Festivus party tomorrow night. Airing of greivences, feats of strength, and food. Yummy, delicious food. Oh and alcohol. The place its being held at is squeezed between an ABC store and a grocery store that carries beer and wine. It's also a PJ party.... food, alcohol, comfy PJs....

Thank goodness for my designated driver buddy Smiley: chug

Maybe the radio guy lied. I hope the radio guy lied. Even if that makes him a lying liar.

I usually just look out my window. Those guys never get it right. Well, they got it right with this last blast of snow, but they got lucky!

Well, since my formerly fat cat is getting her leg amputated (see =28 for details), I'm staying home to keep an eye on her and toddle around the house and yard doing whatnot.

Ray and the kids have a 3 day weekend. But I don't. Smiley: frown

Bummer. How well does a three-legged cat get on in life. Can they walk?

I had today off - unpaid. I shoveled a ton of snow and went grocery shopping. This weekend we need to get snow off our roof. We'll likely go trounce around in our woods on the snowshoes. No real plans for the three-dayer (4 for me) but hopefully at least one fun event will come my way.

My new job allows for proper weekends, and recognizes non-religious federal holidays. Yay!

I've recently become interested in parkour and freerunning so some exercising is in order.

The ladyfriend's grandmother has a 3 legged cat. His back right leg is missing, but he gets along just as well as any four-legged cat I know of. He plays with the dogs, climbs on things, and breaks **** with the best of them.

I had plan to spend the weekend playing Civ V, which Jonwin got me last week, but Sister called to ssay I was needed to remove some of the items I get from my parents house.

I sent a pick-up truck load of furnisher to my daughters, some old knitting pattern books and gardening books and very old copy of Little Men to my oldest and then all the antique dolls and jewelry made it here. All but a Victorian sofa is going to come, here after we have some major work done on house. Hopefully daughters cats won't mark anything tonight, as I forgot to tell brothers to cover everything. And I got the rest of the vintage fabric and clothes! Costumers will be allow to bid on what me and my girls don't keep. I have to come up with someway to pay for having my grand and great grand mother's dresses restored.

There is more stuff that will come here once we sell the house, for stagging it.

We also were lucky to that my sister knew of a Notary that could get some of the paper work needed for KEOGH my dad left us. Today was the first day all 6 of us were together since my dad died.

I have to go back tomorrow for more boxes of stuff and bookshelves.

Oh and they gave us all the items that are from the civil war, since Jonwin wants them. It's the only thing he's happy about getting.
