Obama screws up murder investigationFollow

#1 Jan 13 2011 at 3:38 PM Rating: Sub-Default
You would think the all knowing and enlightened Obama would know this;

http://www.politico.com/blogs/joshgerstein/0111/Obama_speech_undercuts_federal_charge_for_judges_murder.html

Quote:
Obama told the crowd at the University of Arizona. Roll's "colleagues described him as the hardest-working judge within the Ninth Circuit. He was on his way back from attending mass, as he did every day, when he decided to stop by and say, 'Hi,' to his representative."

In the complaint supporting Loughner's arrest, federal prosecutors argue that Roll wasn't simply seeking to pay a social call on Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) when he showed up at the community outreach event where the shooting spree took place Saturday. Prosecutors and the FBI insist that Roll "was engaged in official duties" because he wanted to talk to Giffords and her staffers about problems with a surging caseload in federal courts in Arizona, particularly along the Mexican border.

You would think the chosen one, being a top legal mind and all, should know this.

What a f*cking idiot you liberals elected.

Why a federal judge would care what the President said about the case is beyond me.

Loughner's alleged killing of Roll may only be a crime under federal law if Roll was on business and not merely stopping by to say hi to a friend.

Read that, Varus, and tell us how it messes up the murder investigation. I'll give you a hint - look down two more paragraphs under the one I quoted.

Edit: Obama's looking old, recently. I wonder if it's planned that way? Dying his hair black wouldn't be too difficult...

Huh. That was a pretty pointless column. Especially since it admits straight out that it probably doesn't matter.

On the other hand, if Roll was on a social call, should they ethically be pursing a different charge? Either the prosecution has evidence that Roll was on official business (in which case, whatever Obama says at a memorial service doesn't matter) or they don't have evidence and shouldn't be trying to charge him on those grounds.

Id wager that Obama simply was adding flavor to his comment to "emotionalize" the situation. I am quite sure that Obama had no idea why the judge was there. In fact I would go as far as guaranteeing it. Why should he care, or know what the judge was doing.

Or if he did know and he was on a social call, who gives a sh*t. The guy is going to be executed for attempted assassination of a congress(woman?)man anyway. He is dead, and arguing the charge of a secondary victim is fruitless.

What investigation, its cut and dry, no jury in the world will find him innocent. He is guilty to the maximum degree allowable. Which is going to be lethal injection, and if he isn't killed, I would be complaining to the top of my lungs that I don't want to pay 80K/yr to keep someone who has killed a 9 year old let alone the rest of them alive for another 60 or so years in prison.

a 25 cent bullet, or 80K/year well mr conservative which would you want the taxpayers to pay?

Because obviously what the president, you remember the harvard law professor, says doesn't matter.

In regards to a lawsuit he has no relation to? Yeah, obviously.

There was a question about whether the child was there on official federal business? We must have read different columns.

So you don't think a top legal mind of the modern era, and president to boot, should know that his words carry weight?

Is that what you're telling me?

Because you don't think the suspect should have rights am I right?

I know let's blame Sarah Palin for Obama's idiocy.

Ok you are a moran and I don't know why I am responding to you but here goes.

Obama did not teach at Harvard he was the president of the Harvard Law review, a journal publish by a group of students.

He taught Constitutional Law @ U of chicago law school.

He then went on to a political career.

He never practiced nor taught criminal law. Calling him a "TOP LEGAL MIND" of the modern age is a bit preposterous. He did what anyone can do, graduate law from harvard, was president of a club there, and went on to teach. If that constitutes one to be a TOP LEGAL MIND then I would love to see what you would class someone like Johnnie Cochran who was actually a TOP LEGAL MIND in criminal defense.

Obama was not a lawyer. He graduated in 1991 taught CONSTITUTIONAL LAW from 92-04, he is a teacher who did not teach CRIMINAL LAW. As they say those that can, do. Those that can't teach, those that can't teach, teach gym.

As for the suspect, he has rights, he will get his trial, but there is no court in the world that would find him innocent with murder, and attempted murder of a US congresswoman. This guy will hang, fully within his rights.

(he may not actually hang, or be shot, these are just buzz words, he will likely die a pleasently slow death do to the drip.)

He was a civil rights attorney for a few years. So he obviously passed his bar exam and was a bona fide lawyer. Not in criminal defense, though.

Really, this is just Varus getting worked up about Obama giving a moving and eloquent speech last night which was much better regarded that the self-serving claptrap Palin put out. And I'll note that Varus brought Palin into the thread first before Gbaji ejaculates all over himself while screaming "YOU SAID PALIN!!!"

Thank you for providing another glaring example of how our public schools have failed. It's not your fault you're so stupid, it's your parents.
