Reading this article has left me with tears in my eyes.

Synopsis: Teen girl and teen boy starts dating. Teen girl gets diagnosed with ALS with just a few months to live. Teen boy was a bit of a trouble-maker but settled down and was very serious about teen girl and wanted to be with her. Their relationship deepend and they had a "friendship" ceremony where they pledged their commitment to one another (despite the fact that teen girl was just days away from dying). Teen boy is now doing his won research on ALS and looks like he's going to make it his life's work.

It's a sweet story and the holidays and everything, my heart is now all full of tears.

I agree it's sweet...

And not to sound totally insensitive, isn't that exactly the plot of A Walk to Remember?

Realistically my chances of rolling some teenage chick, regardless of her health, have diminished significantly over the last 20 years. I'm going to have to enter the priesthood to get some teen strange at this point.

Yeah, but then you'd be set for life! Unlimited access and an employer who will do everything possible to cover it up.

That was EXACTLY my thinking.

I love that movie, by the way. And I love Mandy Moore's voice. "Only Hope" was fantastic! (And just a bump, go see "Tangled!")

Plus that way I could try the hershey highway without feeling too awkward about it.

EDIT: in the gay way, you know?

Yup, it basically was, but since it was real life, I thought it was that much more poignant.

And I love Moe ITT.

A heart full of tears, eh? Sounds pretty fatal to me.

You should go pick up a teen boy in the time you have left, preferably one really into biology.

That doesn't sound like much of a commitment.
