I hope you have a copiously, gratuitously merry Christmas.

Try to avoid getting shot down on x-mas day as I'm sure that wouldn't go over well with the missus.

I'm surprised that Hallmark hasn't trademarked that warm Christmas greeting.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind wishes and desires to both see me safely through the holidays and to do what for most people would be anatomically impossible. Fortunately the 'Bama Black Snake is both lengthy and flexible so I was able to acceed to your demands. I won't **** right for a week.

Just want you to know the troops-- Canadian (who are in charge over here), French, Dutch, Romanian, British, Ozzies, Flemish, German, Polish, and Colombian --are very grateful to everyone who has sent cards, candy, and personal hygiene items over here. The amenities are few and the work is difficult and such signs of suppoprt go a long ways with these young people (yeah, I am an old man over here, at least twice as old as the typical soldier, sailor, airman, and Marine.)

I trust each of you had a wonderful time reconnecting with far flung family and friends. And as the New Year approaches enjoy all the alcohol I am unable to consume and don't forget to tip one back for ol' Totes.

PS: Thumbs, I got some killer rubies, garnets (red and green), and topaz (champagne, London blue, pink, red, and sky blue) for cheap, but opals here are generally crap-- lots of white filler inbetween the color. I managed to find one beautiful teardrop piece but it slipped out of my fingers and shattered. Heh. There went $30...

Smiley: frown

I'm not too worried about the quality for the opal and actually white filler in between the color would work for Ray's ring. Seriously, don't worry too much about the white filler all that much. Thanks!
