Countdown to someone posting to say "It's 65 and sunny here! Hurk! hurk! hurk!"

It was that way over the weekend and yesterday. Actually it was in the 80s. I should have hit the beach.

Yeah. I actually had to turn the AC on in my car. Oh the humanity! ;)

After hitting -11 a couple of weeks ago, the weather at present seems balmy by comparison.

Block heaters FTW. It was 24 below on Monday and my car started just fine. :)

Block heaters do nothing for a dead battery and are largely just a waste of $50 bucks and an ugly cord out your grill.
Lurk moar.

Block heaters started my car many a frigid morning when I lived in MN. Lots of new cars sold up there come standard with block heaters - they have a nice little spot to tuck the cord so it doesn't sit there and look ugly...or get plastered with snow/slush/salt.

I don't see many using them out here in New England, but we don't typically get the sub-sub-(sub) zero cold that MN does.

13 years now, never used one, never needed one. The only reason my car has ever not started is the Bob damned battery.

Dear America,

There's nothing more satisfying than seeing Americans suffer.

Well, not so much suffer as uncomfortable. Maybe a little out of your comfort zones... at least to the point where you complain about it.

It's not so bad. Most people are just pussies, is all.

Tennessee is getting sleet and ice tonight. It'll be gone by tomorrow afternoon, but it'll make things bad in the morning.

Tristate weather, eh? Why in God's name are you up here? Don't you just love that Lake Effect snow. I live in a river valley on the eastern side of a mountain in Pennsylvania... so we form a huge, dense pocket of warm air that bursts at night. Canada is cold. I can handle cold. Snow... Snow is a pain in the *****

Yeah. I've been in south NJ about a year and a half now. Moved up here since the job market in FL was ****. Not my favorite place to be at but it will have to do for now.
