I don't think that's a woman. I think it's a motorized mannequin.

If the bra and panties were see-through she probably wouldn't have had to go through the pat down.

I couldn't watch the video. I read the article. It wasn't clear what the problem was except that she refused to go through a metal detector and a swab found traces of nitrates. Was she trying to make some kind of statement about airport security?

The way I understand it is that she missed her flight on Tuesday due to the TSA checkpoint. She decided to dress this way today in order to get past the checkpoint faster.

I'm pretty sure she dressed that way both days. She's just retarded, me thinks.

This.
There is definitely something odd about the way she moves her head when she is looking at the camera. That may just be the Botox paralyzing her body though.

I would believe it difficult to find any of the regular's here fans of the TSA, however this woman to me seems to be clearly motivated by less-than altruistic ideals.

Myself, I avoid flight as much as possible. Passenger trains are usually my preferred alternative, although I have flown Greyhound enough times to make my legs feel stiff just thinking about it.

Kudos to this woman though, for having the crazy balls to make a statement. Even if that statement is riddled with undertones(overtones with underwear?) of "LOOK AT ME IM HAWT RIGHT? PLEASE PUT ME ON THE NEWS SO EVERYONE THINKS IM HAWT".

Trains suck. Amtrak from Chicago, IL to Washington DC is 18 hours. I know from experience that it's a 12-13 hour drive with rest stops. It also costs $133.00 which is more expensive than a nonstop 90 minute flight on Southwest. Basically, it has absolutely nothing going for it unless you just like being on a train.

1000x this. I don't see the point in taking a train when it is usually more expensive and takes longer.

The only time I have ever taken a train was from DC to NYC. We booked it in advance so it was fairly cheap, and is a relatively short trip. It was nice to be able to get onto the train without having a single person look at our luggage or even scan it.

Train rides tend to be more leisurely in my experience. Usually you aren't forced to sit next to anyone, which can be nice if traveling alone or if you want to sleep. And the advantage over driving is that you don't have to drive-- you can read or play video games.

But those things being the same, I prefer the bus. Not that I'm in the habit of using any of the above.

Agreed, I've taken the train from KC to Chicago, and back. It takes about 9 hours to drive and 12 hours on a train. I've also taken the Megabus, which is an excellent way to travel actually. I've been able to go to Chicago and back from KC for $3.

On topic, I just took a flight from Chicago Midway to KC and didn't have a problem, TSA never bothers me actually. But that's probably because I'm clearly a White American. Though I do hate how they keep changing what they want done. I don't fly all that much but at first they don't want cell phones to go through the xray, now they do. I honestly don't know what I could be hiding in my cell phone that couldn't be detected by simply staring at it.

For the video, I don't understand how feeling violated and then going back practically naked really solves anything. They found nitrates on her, I guess they didn't say where, but unless they found them on her boobs or panties the nakedness really doesn't fit.

Granted, if expedience is crucial to the nature of your journey, then yes, flying is always the most efficient (and sometimes even cheaper, thank you priceline) mode of travel.

That known, I'll still find something alluring about crawling along the county at a leisurely pace. Staring at trees and passing quaint small towns, reading a book, or even just stretching out and napping most the way. It's a world away from the stress and terror induced anxiety of most airports. At Bush International in Houston, Texas there is a warning every 15 minutes over the loudspeakers warning that, "Any jokes or terror related comments made in bad taste will get you arrested."

To blow things up(don't say that in Houston); It's not the destination, it's the journey. And whenever I travel by air, I find myself stressed out and disoriented(jet lag), and have a harder time enjoying the hours that I was supposed to have saved (for what?)

Sorry for taking this off-topic!
EDIT: Come to think of it, you summed it up perfectly in that last sentence of yours, Jophiel.

I was surprised by the relaxed nature of the flight attendants on my flight today, she was cracking jokes, granted it wasn't anything serious or cause to worry but I was surprised by the willingness of a crew member to be funny when they've made airports/planes so serious lately.

WestJet, Canada's 2nd largest carrier, does this all the time. I've also experienced it occasionally with Continental.

On one of the small flights I took from Myrtle Beach, SC to Detroit, MI we had a young man for an attendant who decided that during his little safety presentation he was going to be cracking jokes. He made a few good ones, and was very leaned back the whole flight.

Most of the flights I've been on recently have had flight attendants who crack jokes, at least during the safety advisory. I assumed it's a common practice. At least I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't encourage it.
