Most people recognize The Onion as the Peabody Award-winning satire machine that it is. Some people, however, don’t. Which is why we get a story like this every few months. Of course, it’s sometimes easy to mistake an Onion article for the real thing since the writers make sure to skew as close to their targets as possible. It also doesn’t hurt when real news outlets reprint the satirists’ work and decide not to let their readers know it’s a joke, as Fox Nation did today.

I was able to find a cache of the original page, which is now removed. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://nation.foxnews.com/barack-obama/2010/11/26/frustrated-obama-sends-nation-rambling-75000-word-e-mail

To be fair, he could have typed that up while waiting for a plane at Logan.

I've seen people do worse.

At the FOX Sports Bar in Terminal B. Looks like we've made it full circle.

Haet klingon Icecream-cardcrusher vs.
Fearless leader camera angle

...Wat?

If it wasn't serious, that site would make a better onion than the onion.

I like the attempt at playing it off...

It also doesn’t hurt when real news outlets reprint the satirists’ work and decide not to let their readers know it’s a joke, as Fox Nation did today.

"Yeah, we were, uh, that was a joke, right..."

To be fair, all the media outlets seem obsessed with picking the worst possible images of politicians. 75% of the time, the person is depicted looking down, eyes downcast as if filled with self-shame. In reality, they were probably looking for their pen.
