The US already looks pretty bad, pretty sure a first strike against North Korea wouldn't make it any worse. I mean this is the same country that openly lied to get people to commit to the war in Iraq not even 10 years ago. Most people haven't forgot about that whole WMD farce. If the US is worried about worldwide image they should invent a time machine go back to post WW2 and stop the World Police charade then and there.

This is exactly what I'm talking about.

You have to find ways to engage in wars while trying to minimize comments like that.

Also, I'm not talking about just a "first attack", I'm talking about a complete assault to kill and destroy instantly ending any thought of NK doing anything. Trust me, that is completely different than lying your way into a war with TERRORISTS.

If you're complaining on the reason why we are fighting TERRORISTS, then you will go bonkers over causing total destruction as a first attack. People like you would rather have it happen to us first.

Maybe they shouldn't have kept interfering with countries who legally, and fairly elected left-leaning governments in the first place.

Imagine what Afghanistan might be like if the US hadn't supplied arms and aid to the future taliban just because they were fighting communism(and, to be quite honest, the afghani take on communism looked to be pretty decent. Providing education, encouraging women to learn to read and to stop wearing burqas, etc.)

Or imagine a friendly Cuba(They looked towards the US for aid first, but god forbid the US should help a left-leaning, but not yet communist(Castro didn't call it a communist revolution until after being turned down by the West) government). Fine cigars for all, and such.

Also, maybe the UN forces should have stopped at the original border during the Korean war instead of trying to wipe NK off the map and causing China to get involved as the UN forces approached their border.

Unfortunately time travel is impossible. So this is all moot.

Exactly.. Depending on how the Shock and Awe Campaign is carried out, will vary the people opinions.
