If you like BBC broadcasts, and can't access BBC iPlayer because you're in the hinterland, try Expatshield, then go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/

Win.

As long as everything is in proportion to your ego, then it totally is.

They started showing QI on the ABC, I presume from the first episodes. It is now my must-see Tuesday night TV show. Very funny way to be fed trivia and obscuria.

Current BBC Recommendations:

The Trip (Steve Coogan & Rob Brydon grumpy old gits road-movie type show)
The Armstrong & Miller show
Merlin (King Arthury thing done by the peeps what did Robin Hood with Tony Head off of Buffy)
Coast (awesome documentary following UK's Coastline)
Never Mind the Buzzcocks (rude music based panel show)
Harry & Paul
Being Human (A Ghost, a Vampire & A Werewolf share a house)

enjoy. . .

It also lets you watch videos from Youtube channels that are blocked outside the UK, so you can watch Misfits, The Inbetweeners, IT Crowd, and Shameless, which I'm not sure if any of which got broadcasted outside the UK, so ignore me if you've already seen them all. Granted, I'm considerably younger than Nobby, so some people around here might prefer his suggestions.

Also, from iPlayer, watch Have I got News for You, and Nevermind the Buzzcocks. I miss Mark Lamar, but at least Simon Amstell is gone.

I love Being Human, it showed over here. Waiting on tenterhooks to find out how they rescue Annie from Purgatory. They'd better rescue her, she's gorgeous and funny and sweet.

Oh, and "Spooks" is awesome. I love the ice queen. I was so upset when they killed off Adam. I'm getting miserable being reminded of it.
