Well as long as you know which direction north is that's what's most important.

It's whatever direction I'm pointing. There originally wasn't a "N" in the plans, but without it, the design just looked like some lame christmas star.

I guess that most of you will not care for my advise on tattoos. But, I'll give it anyways.
Tattoos are a serious choice. Back when I got mine there was no way to remove them. So, consider it Permanent if you get one. I know they can lazer them off now. It's not cheap and hurts as much if not more than when you get the tattoo. Consider your tattoo carefully. Not only what it is but where you put it on your body. Certain things I'd advise to not get in a tattoo are:

1. Names. This includes your boyfriend, Hubby, Girlfriend, Wife. A break up or a Divorce and your stuck with a reminder of that person forever or until you pay to have it removed.

2. Symbols. Again unless your an expert in the Language or whatever the symbol is no matter how cool it is. You could be getting something silly like a foreign word for Wimp put on you. (Yes It's happened and worse)

3. Location. I cannot stress how important this can be. Hiring people will not like visible tattoos when Hiring people. It's a fact that if you have lots of visible tattoos and your the choice between you and the candidate that has none you will more than likely not get the job. I've actually proved this several times with co-workers that had lots of tattoos and kept getting turned down for other positions. After taking the advice of covering them up they got offers.

4. Content or what you have tattooed on you. Naked ladies and offensive symbols can be a huge turn off for other people and employees (See #3)

Tattoos are an extremely personal thing and your choice. Take my advice and If you have decided to have one. Take the time to consider it carefully.

You forgot 5.

No matter how carefully you consider the first 4 points, a tattoo will make you look like an cUnt.

Well, I've grown to like my tattoo in all it's hand drawn off-centered glory. It peaks out from under my sleeve at me.

I think my next one will be on the top of my foot for easy viewing.

My only objection is regarding tattoos on pretty women. No matter what, or where it is, it is about as fetching as some ghetto tag on the Venus de Milo.

I've wanted a tattoo for a few years now (ἀρετή on my back), but there are a million things I want to spend my money on first.

I've got five of them in total (all coverable in business casual/professional dress by design). I get them for me because I like the art or the concept or what-have-you; I get them for me and -if someone else likes them- awesome, but others' opinions don't really phase me. It's far from a rebellious act in this day and age, and anyone getting them for that reason is silly.

I enjoy the sensation* of getting a tattoo as much as the final product. Oddly, it's almost like an addiction. Even just thinking about the sound of a tattoo gun makes me want more.

* I don't mean that in a sexual/erotic way; it's just enjoyable to me for some reason

Certainly not, Opeth is ******* awesome.

I don't fucking care how awesome Opeth is as no band that has ever existed or will ever exist can properly compare to all the concept of ἀρετή entails.

Paradox paradox is paradox.

Opeth, like pretty much anything, needs ἀρετή to have merit at all. If you contradict me again, I'll have to question your sanity, capability to form coherent thoughts and general value in this world, honey.

The sister of an ex of mine felt the same way. She said the pain of getting a tattoo or a piercing was a rush as much as the finished product. Back then she had... 4 tattoos and 6 piercings? I think she's about doubled it by now. She always struck me as pretty weird, though.

I'm still not a fan of either. Piercings are slightly betters than tattoos (a small nose stud on a girl can be decent, and earrings are fine), but I'd be just as happy if not happier seeing a girl without any modification.

I thought that it was already established that I'm not sane nor capable of forming coherent thoughts and the only things I add to this world are pretty pictures and my overwhelming awesomeness.
