I called the number tonight, and I report to the courthouse tomorrow morning.

I have no idea what's going to happen, but I hope I'm detained all day so I don't have to go to work.

They had numbered panels, and I am on panel #2. Panels 1 through 6 have to report tomorrow. So it sounds like they're going in order.

Since so many of us have to go, I imagine we'll show up then sit in a room like Thumb did and go through jury selection. I'll bring a book...

After having had to sit once in a very crowed room on a hard chair, until after lunch when I came back early just to get a seat on a padded chair, I ended up getting my doctor to fill out a form saying I'm unable to handle jury duty in the future.

I no longer get a chance at making lunch money for being bored all day. But I realize the chance of having to sit in a jury room isn't something my physical and mental health can handle.

My one chance at having to sit on a jury was lost when the defense was able to have the trail postpone again. We got a lecture on the history of the courthouse and then had to sit for a few more hours until the last jury that day, was called.

Started my day in the circuit court waiting to be selected for jury duty. By one in the afternoon, I was at Brad Paisley's Number One party.

This has been a weird week.

Reading this thread has just jinxed me. I received a summons in the mail yesterday to report for 2 weeks starting November 22nd. This is the 3rd time I've been called, but the 1st time I've not had a valid excuse to get out of it. Hopefully with it being around the holiday, I'll serve very few, if any days on the panel.
