I've got nothing but to-do's all weekend long. The rain made my yard and house muddy and dirty so it's clean up time.

Sunday is Ray's birthday. So we're having a birthday lunch for him. He's off on Monday so that makes it nice 3 day weekend for him.

What do you guys have and anyone else getting Columbus Day off?

I'm not off on Columbus Day because I'm not in grade school.

Seriously, who gets Columbus Day off from a "real" job?

Thanksgiving long weekend here, with today being an additional day off since I was away for 2 weeks.

Today, nothing going on.
Tomorrow we're going apple picking and hitting the harvest fair.
Sunday is eats day.
Monday, cleaning.

Tonight is my husband's birthday, so I'm frosting his cake (no, literally, that's not an euphamism) and we're heading up to the Dyer Observatory to look at the stars. Tomorrow we'll be visiting the in-laws. That should be... interesting.

Sunday... well, not sure what I'll be doing. Depends on how things at the in-laws go, mostly, I think.

You beat me too it. Banks get the most outrageous days off. Though I noticed not even libraries get Columbus Day off. They do get Veteran's Day though.

Happy thanksgiving to the Canucks! Have a great long weekend.

I have a good weekend ahead. Tonight, pizza and beers with friends. Tomorrow I am off to Charlotte, NC for an overnight stay. A friend of mine is in town to attend a conference there so I booked the day/night off from the husband and kids. Wee! Sunday will be a quiet day, I expect. Looking forward to the Oiler game Sunday night. Did any of you see that last night???

The great commonwealth of Massachusetts :D This is good for me because Hannah has the day off and now I don't have to use a day of vacation time!

How can you be expected to celebrate the new world genocide without the day off?

A little joke based on the fact that half of the roster for Detroit is so old that they're beginning to fossilize.

I've been disgustingly sick all week. I went into work today just to illustrate my dedication and was met by my boss and a nurse. The regional manager was there, too. Turns out one of the women I work with has been hospitalized with what may be H1N1. The nurse listened to my lungs and told me she thinks I may have pneumonia.

Then they quarantined me from work till November first.

Have you ever heard of some **** like that?

That's why this Friday feels like a Monday for me.

So I'll be sitting around the house this weekend, making more weird, fever-fueled posts.

I have an entire weekend of nothing to do and I started it by having a dinner consisting of spareribs and beer at a hard rock bar.
Tomorrow morning I'll start my morning with fresh orange juicem, croissants, coffee and a newspaper and I won't do **** all the rest of the weekend.
It's going to be glorious.

Tonight: Probably drinking and playing video games, we'll see.
Tomorrow: Playing baseball and more drinking.
Sunday: Delicious Canadian turkey day with the family. There will be booze.
Monday: Second delicious Canadian turkey day with friends. There will be more booze.

Alcoholism isn't just a pastime that you fall into, you have to actively work towards it.

Those of us who happen to work for certain state government entites that have decided that temporary layoffs or "furlough days" is a valid form of budget management for one... The truly infuriating thing is that It's atually going to cost the government more to **** me over than it would have to simply not done it and taken the salary hit for that day, not to mention the whole part about my little corner of the government actually being in a balanced budget situation and we're only doing this because the other overspending bastards of the rest of the government are in the hole. So I'm out a days pay, they lose more money, and no body wins.

Plus I have to go to the dentest that day.
