...get used to it. ~ Bill Gates

Forbes came out with it's richest peeps issue yesterday. Bill's the filthy richest of them all...again. The top 400 incomes in the US are worth 1.37 trillion dollars. That's up 8% from last year. They did considerably better than the average joe and Wallstreet.

But, the sky is clouding up, I'm expecting it to start trikling any minute now.

Oops - HERE is the article if you're interested. The Waltons of Walmart have spots 4, 7 and 8..Smiley: glare

I find it funny that Steve Jobs is not even in the Top 20.

Scrooge comics were the second best in the bag after the Archies (comic books came bagged in threes).

I love Jughead as much as the next guy but Scrooge and those Junior Woodchucks were the best. Then again I wasn't reading them for the first time in 1940 (Archies) or the 50's. And to be fair, DuckTales was a solid adaptation of the original stories and I enjoyed that show nearly as much as the comics.

And my favorite of all - Wendy Witch. Though I didn't actually start to learn how to read until something around '62.

Being born in December I only had 13 months of the '50's to enjoy. Only thing that I can remember that far back,is that sometime in my first 14 months, I wished I was big like my older brother and sisters and could slide down the banister.

Now Jonwin properly did read any comic book he could get his hand on, though only ones he saved was some of his Spiderman collection.

He also says he's not going to leave it all to his kids. They'll get an excellent education and enough to get them started, but they won't inherit billions.

I think that's pretty cool, personally. I bet the 14-year-old is pissed, though.

Same. I've always respected Bill Gates for the way he uses his money to give back to the world. I suspect the bulk of his personal fortune will go toward a plethora of charities, which is, at the very least, admirable.

I bet the majority of the funds will go to this charity to help those poor, poor people.

The real story behind Bill Gates/Warren Buffett not leaving any of their kids any money and donating it all to "charity" is to avoid the inheritance tax and instead be able to write it off. They are also narcissistic and thing that since they pulled themselves up to the highest echelon by scheming and scrounging, that anyone else can, too. Not to mention, many of Warren Buffet's companies are insurance companies, and some insure against the inheritance tax. It's all blah blah ********* Who do you think will run the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation after they die? The kids still get the money.

Meh, just being who they are would sell them to the world, if they wanted. But yeah, if they're not major ***** ups, I'm sure they'll be in line for the throne.

They're still leaving ********* of money to their kids, it's just a drop in the bucket compared to what they could be leaving. Also, it's not like they're the only ones in charge of the foundation either, unless their kids grow up to be brilliant leaders it's highly unlikely they would ever have any real control, much less be able to dip into the pot like you're suggesting. If they really wanted to avoid inheritance taxes there are lots of easier ways to do it than your crazy conspiracy BS.
