Or otherwise known as the Cordoba House. Or to good ol' fashinoned Ameri@#%^s as the Ground Zero Mosque, 9/11 Mosque, etc.
I'm sure you've heard at least something about all of this business, and after seeing it covered on the news, in TIME Magazine, and online, I've got my stance:
I was very tempted to say that all of America is @#%^ing retarded, but after a few minutes of speculation, my rage seems to have subsided. I just can't wrap my mind around why people are getting so worked up over this. Whoever these fellows are, they can build their multi-cultural center wherever they want.
I'm pretty sure that a lot of this controversy and sh*tstorm is just from misunderstanding. Notice how I said multi-cultural center up there, that's what it is. It isn't even really a mosque. I'm sure Muslims will pray in there, but it isn't a mosque. Cracked.com summed it up pretty well. People just have misconceptions about what the project exactly is and what exactly it will entail.
And then there are those who are just ignorant and/or dumb.
Edit - searched through the first 3 pages, couldn't find a thread about this, so I made one
