We just got home from Diner with family having met my new step grand daughters.

Other 2 grand kids are spending night over here, as their mom had to go to Fla for a funeral.

Tomorrow we are having a semi-engagement party for youngest at Maryland Reconnaissance Faire. Grand kids will have a lot of fun playing together. Grand Mom plans on spoiling kids while she can.Smiley: grin

Oldest ask if their cousins could spend night in hotel room with them, but got "No" as parents want to get some sleep after driving all day and dealing D.C. beltway traffic.

She actually got married in April at court house, due to Dad's custody battle for kids. Wedding for friends and Family will happen next April on their 1st anniversary.

Jonwin works Sunday and daughter plans to tke girls to inner harbor to National Aquarium and USS Constellation. She was happy to find out that Jonwin is able to comp their tickets on Connie Smiley: smile

Monday they are going to drive back to S.C. early in morning, so I'm not sure what we plan to do.

He is but I think the whole thing is still kind of abstract for him. Maybe less so now that things around the house are really changing (turning the office into a nursery, etc) but I'm not convinced it's fully sunk in yet. On the other hand, he's always been really good with babies and younger kids so I'm not worried about him being unwilling to be part of it all.

As a good Catholic Democrat, you're going to raise the second one to be a gay, right? That way he can join the priesthood later and make mamma proud

What did you do to your mouth?

It was just a filling, and everything went hunky dory at the dentist, the nurse on suction duty was a pro at keeping my mouth dry without a drop going down my throat. I made sure to compliment her for her skill. The needles didn't hurt, the drilling didn't hurt, my music was so soothing I seriously almost fell asleep in the chair. In fact I probably would have if I didn't keep having to open and close and grind down on carbon paper and spit water on command.

But my itty bitty tight-tendoned jaw had to be widened further open than it likes to go for him to get at the tooth tucked right at the furthest back grue-limits of my mouth. (Not a wisdom tooth) I told him it was really tight back there, extremely hard to brush those particular two back teeth on either side, but he didn't believe me until he had to go back there and try and work in there himself. Why do most medical professionals never believe what I say until they see it for themselves? Anyway, 9/10 pain for 30 hours while my jaw got over being forced. Sorry I cried like a whiney bitch, but although I considered for a Pico-second going into the ER for a morphine whack I decided to dump on you instead. <3

It felt like my jaw had been kicked several times by a big man in steel-capped boots. I didn't know at the time, but apparently I had the full chipmunk cheek thing going too. I was pitiful enough for my partner to treat me like a princess for two days, and I slept on an ice-pac.

So apparently I have a mutant jaw, an extra vertebra, a couple genetic diseases, and continuous positive tests for a disease that only immuno-suppressed people get, without any positive test returns for immune problems.

I take great vicious pleasure in becoming an evolutionary dead-end, except for the non-growth of any under-arm hair thing, which I believe would be handy for descendants given current fashion trends. I really wish my theoretical grand nephews and nieces good luck, but maybe I should start a trust-fund for them for likely medical expenses, given the odds. Roll on medical progress.

So, what you're saying is, you can't put anything bigger than a Sharpie pen in your mouth.

I'm beat, and there is still 2 days left to the weekend.

I got pictures of the grand kids on Facebook. Might post here if I get energy tomorrow.

I love my grand kids and they all seem to have a ball together.

I have to firmly tuck my teeth behind my lips if I put anything bigger than a sharpie pen in my mouth. Also sharpie pens hit the back of my throat fast. And I can only inhale one roll of invisible tape into my mouth at a time.

Today now seems more like Memorial Day to me.

We woke up to find our cat Godiva having seizures and rush her to the Animal Hospital. There they found she was dying of liver failure, so we said our good byes and let her go to Fiddlers Green. Pictures of her are on my FB page.

I was attacked by thousands of birds this morning. At 6am... (ok, by attacked I mean they all landed on my house, but it still woke me up and scared the crap out of me because that many birds landing is frigging LOUD!)

Jonwin and I are still in a bit of shock. It was hard to realize we had to let her go, as any attempt to keep her alive at this point was only putting off the invertible. Today was her time to do and we have so many wonderful memories of the Evil Cat to help us go on.

When we can we hope to be able to adopt another rescue cat from our vet.

A friend that also has cats says if the Hospital we took her to, couldn't help her then there was nothing w could have done. Still it was important to both of us to try. We could have never face our Vet Megan again, if we hadn't.

Godiva live at the vets office for 3 months before we saw her. Megan said she had only 3 families she felt could handle Godiva and I always felt honored to be Godiva's person.
