I am enjoying a glass of cab and some brie and bread for lunch. Starting the weekend as I mean to go on. Drinks, food, LOST, kids, pool and family time for the weekend.

Whatcha got?

Utopia - lost in chaos
As the sky turns black
Suicide legacy
There is no turning back
...no turning back

Retribution answers cold
Moving in for the kill
Deep hideous festering
Bestial epidemic, repulsive need

Control, control

Suicide nation
Mass-appeal, death-addiction
Dead but dreaming
Restrained by phobia, brainwashed into submission

Control, control

Suicide - jaws locked around your spine
...locked around your spine

Or in other words, playing At The Gates' Slaughter Of The Soul album at full volume.
Good start of the weekend, the rest of the weekend will consist of doing some work for school and my cousin's birthday party.

Fantasy football draft on Saturday. It always involves copious amounts of jello shots (made with Everclear!), so I plan to spend the majority of the day Saturday, and probably most of Sunday morning, drunk off my ***** Monday is my birthday (I'm a quarter-century old Smiley: frown), and Tuesday I move into the new apartment.

Busy weekend!

Yardwork, Avoiding crazy person, and robot building mainly. I've got 300' of yard edging to install, barkdust to put around all the areas I edge so grass won't grow there (so I can actually mow the lawn without getting the weed whacker out) and I need to go flower shopping again, which usually consists of me taking my mom and sister to a nursery and saying "here, go pick out a bunch of flowers and stop when my wallet starts sobbing uncontrollably". Seems to work so far.

I got the last of the hardware linkages for the CRC robot here finally, so need to install those, build a pulley guard for the top and start running the wire guards. I've started building the table it will sit on, and parts for the actual enclosure to prevent water and very warm aluminum chips from flying everywhere (or sawdust) are on the way. T-slot table for the mill will be ordered this month, after that, all that remains is the motor controller, which is unfortunately not the cheapest item on the planet. I'll post some pictures once the assembly is a bit further along.

I have flowers in my front flower bed now. Needs more, also more bark dust which is sitting in a pile to the left of the location in this picture...

I just finished mowing the lawn.

Hmm, hardcore plans for the long weekend are scarce.

Game friends are trying to tempt me into dling FFXIV beta, but I think I'll not - though the graphics looked unbelievable. Anyone playing?

Tonight, I'm helping my mother figure out how to run a program instead of installing it over and over.

Tomorrow, I'm taking a friend to a movie (The Last Exorcism) and dinner for her birthday.

Sunday, we're spending our $100 gift card at The Palm then attending Shakespear in the Park. Maybe D&D?

Monday, a whole lotta nuthin'.

So he doesn't photograph well. I'm sure he'll still be... special.

He is but I think the whole thing is still kind of abstract for him. Maybe less so now that things around the house are really changing (turning the office into a nursery, etc) but I'm not convinced it's fully sunk in yet. On the other hand, he's always been really good with babies and younger kids so I'm not worried about him being unwilling to be part of it all.

I'm going to do some serious relaxing, eating, and drinking this weekend (not party type, but like "sit in the hot tub and vege" type). Had a major UI tool release Wednesday. Ended out working super late Monday and Tuesday, then still ended out finding 3 minor bugs about 5 minutes after giving the green light for release, prompting about 4 hours of frantic modifications on Wednesday. Amazingly, it managed to still go smoothly, and the users didn't claw their way into my office and eat my brains or anything.

Stress level pretty much hit the roof that day. Took a deliberate "not going to stress until after the holiday" approach yesterday and today. I find breaking into Simon and Garfunkle lyrics semi-randomly helps... ;)

Slow down, you movin' too fast
You gotta make the MORNING last
Just kickin' down the cobblestones
Lookin' for fun and
Feelin' groovy...
