The mobile site is surprisingly complete and easy, especially on my new ego 4G phone.

Worth the premium, I suppose.

I'm using it right now from my droid, since our internet went down here. It seems pretty solid...I've only come across a couple issues with text moving around where it shouldn't. That, and I don't like that when I zoom in on a thread I can still scroll to the right, even though there's lots of nothing there.

Minor issues, though. It's a real nice addition.

We're working on some fixes to the posting code on that over the next few days here, If you have any specific issues that aren't diplaying properly, please let me know and I'll make sure they get in the que to be fixed if possible. Given the variety of mobile platforms we may have a few long term quirks.

edit: also, Demea, your Avatar scares the **** out of me now...

I've been posting from my phone for the last week (computer finally died and isn't worth fixing anymore) using the FFXI skin and I haven't had any real issues aside from really missing my Adblock. I really don't see a need for the mobile skin. Of course I've always hated mobile versions of websites, they're usually designed with lower end phones in mind and the lack of functionality really irks me.

And by 'we' you mean the developers, not you.

We can either mean the collective site, or the fact that I was working with the developers on testing since the issue in question was hardware specific and I had the hardware. So in that case when I say we, I mean myself and the dev.

Using the mobile site on my Blackberry isn't quite enough incentive to pay for premium. Almost, but there's nothing else in it for me.

I answered a dev question once, maybe I should fight for my dev credit.

I'm using the HTC from Sprint right now, and its awesome so far.

The AT&T and Verizon phones seemed too small.

Yeah, Sprint has the nicest one, but we're still locked in with AT&T.

I'm due for a new phone for my personal line. I've got a thouch pro 2 for my Work line currently, windows mobile 6.5, and a touch pro 1 for my home line (6.1) Been kind of debating going with an android phone, but all the ones for ATT suck, and verizon annoys me because they are eviler than some. But Windows mobile 7 looks like they missed the ball entirely. No copy paste, no flash, locked down OS, etc. If I wanted a ******* diephone I'd buy one. But I still refuse to give apple money. Ever. If I go android, i'd have to root the phone, but thats easy enough. I'm contemplating importing one of those actual windows 7 devices that are small enough to be used as a phone, though support for them would be problematic at best. I dunno, maybe I should just build my own out of parts!

I occasionally hear about Verizon being evil, but after being a customer for almost ten years I just haven't seen it. Their plans are no more or less expensive than the competition, they don't arbitrarily raise their rates, and at least were I live, their coverage is far superior to any other company. Not to mention that I get a 22% discount through the company I work for. Also, my Droid 2 is awesome.

Why do people hate Apple so much?
Until you get into photography or a similar line of work, then you're mocked for not having a Mac...

That said, I've got a MacBook as it's part of my school books and I have to say I prefer OS X over Windows for basic day to day use.
Now if only you could actually play games on a Mac. >.>

I have two primary problems with Apple.

Functionally, I find Mac OS and applications designed to run on it cumbersome and wasteful. If all you've really ever used is a point and click interface, I can see how it might not seem so bad, but really, it is.

Second, they're just too damn smug. Apple is most certainly not as superior to any of the competitors as they would have you believe.

This.

I don't hate Apple, I use some of their stuff. But I'm not a fan of their computers. I used Macs (OS 9 and X) when I worked for the newspaper. Blech. Ugh. Never did learn to like them. I think my main gripe was the way almost every program crashed at least every other day, if not daily. And the last computer they got me (brand new, was 6 months old when I left) never did work right. Wouldn't shut down without an act of Congress. Didn't boot up on the first try. And InDesign (which is what I used every day) was buggy and crashed a lot.

I'll just stick with PCs.

Hmmm, I never really pay attention to any new releases or marketing so I don't see any of the smugness of Apple.
Except for the few Apple fanboys, but those are as annoying as fanboys of just about anything.

That said, my Macbook works fine and all the programs on it do so too.
Although I have to admit that I have yet to even really look at InDesign, Dreamweaver, Illustrator or all the other Adobe programs I got with it.
Personally my main problem with Apple is just that their stuff is too expensive and that games don't work on OS X.
But on the plus side, OS X feels a lot smoother than windows and it looks a lot better.

Also, the Apple keyboard is awesome. I even have one for my PC. Smiley: tongue

Not sure if you've had the opportunity to use Windows 7, but it has pretty much erased nearly every complaint I've had about MSFT OS in the past.
