Where's the Friday thread? Did I miss it?

Dropping my car off again for yet another leak and ready to Smiley: motz my mechanic.

Grocery shopping and housework and laundry.

School shopping and clothes shopping for the kids.

Maybe see the musical Hello, Dolly! at the Starlight Bowl in Balboa Park on Saturday. If we don't see The Expendables or Avatar Special Edition.

I'm supposed to go to a CFL game tomorrow. I'll be drunk so it'll at least be bearable. I guess our tickets are in row 3 right behind the bench, so abusing the players isn't entirely out of the question.

Sunday I get back on the ice for the first time in months, can't wait!

Up to Jacksonville with the girlfriend tomorrow to meet a ton of relatives on her mom's side of the family. I guess it's her grandmother's birthday and she's the matriarch of the family (I don't really understand Filipino familial traditions, but the grandmother is spoken of in almost Godfather-esque tones). Should be neat, and lots of good food. I'll probably be the whitest person there!

Other than that I really want to play some videogames and rest. We'll see if that happens though :-P

Our first weekend back after whirlwind trip to Canada so we are layin' low. Mia has soccer on Sat morning and a birthday party later in the morning but beyond that we are hangin' at home, yardwork and getting Burton's bedroom ready to move him in. Sleep training = fun!

Been fighting off a migraine for what feels like forever, so more drugs for me!

Tomorrow Demi Levato is going to be at the local mall, guess where I am going? Yeah, the price of having pre-teen girls in the house.

Sunday, church and then harassing the mister to move my desk, I need more space to put my crap!

I'm going to order a window for my living room, and prep the area a bit. Other then that, I might build a firepit in my backyard if I feel inspired.

Dinner with a friend who's back from England for a little while, then UFC 118 with some friends on Saturday. Might be going to Margate City (just below Atlantic City) on Sunday.

It should be a nice weekend. Smiley: grin

PS: Just realized that after those last two things, you might think I look like this:

Got a request for a partial on my book from another agent. So it's already a fantastic weekend.

We're doing to dinner in less than an hour, then having the usual friends over to watch anime. Tomorrow is nothing exciting at all, followed by nothing exciting at all on Sunday too.

I love my boring life.

Weekend started last night with dinner at a lovely little restaurant followed by a lovely little show starring Richard Thompson his ten magical fingers, one guitar and a voice that just gets better with age. I wanna do it again tonight.

Atm, I'm hiding my bit-o'-world from Nadenue.

Welcome to the family! Smiley: lol

Some rules to abide by:

Do not under any circumstances, refuse any offer of food, even if it's only a bite to sample. DO NOT REFUSE. But don't eat balut if it's offered. Take a bit of sip of the fluid coming out of the shell, but that's it.

Lola is the absolute ruler of the family. Ask your GF if her family does the "mano mano" with her Lola (taking her hand raising her hand to your forehead while you bow slight to her).

Just about every older lady to you (your mom's age at least), is generally called "Auntie."
"Uncle" is any guy your dad's age and older.

Don't try to unravel any of the "cousin" links.

Don't try to remember names. Ray hasn't remembered names and we've been married 14 years. You'll just drive yourself sick doing that.

If anyone hisses at you behind your back or clucks their tongue or saying "oy!" they're trying to get your attention, not disrespect you. Just look around.

Just smile goofily if anyone speaks Tagalog Ilocono at you. Especially if everyone else starts laughing.

Call your GF "maganda" (muh-gahn-dah) in front of others. It means "beautiful."

If a little kid wants to sit on your lap, do so and just play around.

Don't wear your shoes in the house.

Tonight I hope I can get some sleep after being up 24 hours, though not by choice. Smiley: glare at my tummy.

Tomorrow I need to wake up feeling nice and refresh, get into my Ren garb and then Jonwin and I are going to spend the opening day at the Maryland Renaissance Faire with the grandkids.

Sunday will be spent recovering from having to chase, up and down hills after a 5 and 8 year old, while Jonwin is back at work.

I am devising ever more fiendish and surreal methods of doing fUck all.

Last weekend was a 900 mile round trip for dinner in Normandy followed by a homage trip to Belgium where I annoyed the ***** out of the future ex by quoting from "In Bruges" at the relevant locations Smiley: sly.

This weekend is cricket + Formula 1 racing + pub. Win.

Friday? Wut?

I work Saturday, and Sunday is Running Errands Day. Groceries and whatnot. It'll be nice and hot so I'll probably be outside with Thom a lot, continuing to wage my futile war against the weeds that continue to choke the life out of the yard. I may just kill everything, scrape up all the soil, put down fresh and start over in the spring.

Today was a wierd day. Started the morning off with a message from someone I apperently went to school with, she said basically "Hi Tim are you dating anyone, I had a crush on you in highschool, we should go out sometime" Which is great on the surface of things. I can't for the life of me remember this person from school though. I thought she was one of my sister's friends who decided to add me to her facebook for some reason to be honest, and even having seen what she looks like I can't place her. Which is odd because I am lousy with names but I have a pretty much eidetic memory for visual things. Further complicating the matter, she is basically having a hell of a time. She apperently just joined AA, had her 2 kids taken by social services, Abusive, violent ex, and recently tried to kill herself just based on facebook posts I can see, and has apperently just contracted some sort of something that is leading to mounting hospital costs. I have a government job, and benifits... I mean I know I have no real call to be super picky, and maybe I'm just paranoid, but that doesn't seem to be the kind of situation I really want in on, but I don't really just want to reject her outright if she's going to try killing herself again over something like that, or use that as an excuse to drop AA. So I don't know what the hell I am going to do. Try and ignore the situation for the weekend I guess.

Saturday I plan on building the table and bottom of the enclosure frame for the CNC Mill. I'm still waiting for the last belt and 3 pulleys to get here, then I can finish the mechanical linkages and run the electrical. Still need to buy or make a pulley guard for the top pully train so i don't inadvertantly sever power and control cables for the Z-axis assembly. Got a computer for the Mill, will be Computer #4, low end Core 2 Laptop, used. Which leaves the stupid controller and power supply assembly. I'd build that from components, but my electrical configuration skills make me somewhat hesitant given the power supply wattages involved. I also don't want to slag my 3 motors...

Sunday I'm going plant shopping for the front flower bed. Any suggestions for flowers would be appriciated. Roses will be going in the side yard bed. I want to keep all the annoying to prune ones in one spot...

Also, I have a billion beans and a pepper and tomatoes in my garden to harvest

She sounds like a peach. I don't know what would bother me more - the fact that she tried to kill herself and all the rest or that she posted about it on Facebook!

Yeah, I'm gonna go with "avoid, avoid, avoid."
